Never ever did I think, I’d ever coach or lead so many people to their goals. Molly, you’re absolutely amazing! This wasn’t even planned prior to a few weeks ago and look at the result. I’m speechless.. Thank you for your limitless trust and support of my vision. Count it! Now go celebrate, take a few days off and let’s see what’s next. Repost: A year ago if you asked me if I’d ever compete in any kind of bench competition I would have looked at you like you had a million heads. Bench is my weakest lift and last year I could barely do the bar, my form was all over the place. Two weeks ago I decided I was just gonna go for the Summer Lift-A-Thon because no pressure. With a lot of help from @missk72283 and Darien there pushing me everyday, I did pretty well for myself. A big thank you to Krystyn for always helping me be better. And a big thank you to Darien for always supporting me.

Upper body real sore lately......😭

Two days ago I woke up and could barely move - It’s been such a long time since I’ve felt that way OUTSIDE of lifting heavy weights. Tension does wild things, and as weird as it sounds, it’s honestly so cool to experience alllllll of the things lately! THE HUMAN BODY IS DOPE.💯
From learning how to walk forward on my hands at the beginning of this year to learning how to do a side aerial and standing tuck, practice always makes progress!!! Soooo grateful for the ability to progress, for the ability to move, for the ability to get back up when I fall down. We’ll get there when we get there, and we’re not giving up until we do!🤸🏼♀️💛

I was deep in thought today at work just considering some things about life and humanity, and I had a thought that I felt was worth sharing so that others may ponder it too: No man or woman in history, has ever truly reached a limit. By limit, I mean a measurable and indisputable status or self capacity. No person has ever maxed out their brain capacity, their knowledge, their skillset, their physique. So I believe, there really is NO limit when it comes to our potential as human beings. The only TRUE limit we have, is our time on this planet.... and nobody even knows what theirs will be.
And so, CREATING self-imposed limits through your own doubts, it is flawed thinking. Anyway, I hope that thought brings you some perspective, or motivation, or even value of your time. Just thoughts.......
Deadlift from yesterday! Beltless, felt alright, this was last set of my 5x5 and you can tell lol. Otherwise, still running and biking quite a bit, but also can’t left go of my weightlifting! Goal is to compete again this December with @usapowerlifting during Christmas time!

O PODER de um PROPÓSITO!

Hoje, dia 13/08/2019, completo 3 meses da minha nova vida e do meu retorno à prática esportiva, da qual fiquei afastado durante mais de 12 anos.
Para quem gosta de indicadores como eu, foram até agora:
- 152.500 metros nadando
- 115.520 braçadas na piscina
- 3.860 minutos de pura emoção na água
- 65.880 calorias suadas
- 34 quilos incinerados
Há exatos 3 meses, no dia 13/05/2019, eu tomei uma das decisões mais importantes da minha recente história.
Eu decidi que não seria vencido por um médico e muito menos por uma cirurgia bariátrica.
Decidi que eu iniciaria um processo de transformação no meu corpo pautado em alguns ensinamentos bastante relevantes e comentados no mundo na atualidade, principalmente no mundo corporativo, que, como bom workaholic, sempre foi um dos meus vícios.
Defini um “PROPÓSITO” para a minha vida, que viesse de encontro com a prioridade que dou para a minha família e para os meus filhos.
Busquei “INSPIRAÇÃO” em algumas histórias de sucesso que pesquisei e que algumas pessoas me indicaram e também no meu passado de atleta.
Apliquei técnicas que aprendi nos últimos anos trabalhando com inovação, baseado nos temas “CHANGE YOUR MINDSET” e “GROWTH MINDSET”. Todos eles altamente transformadores e famosos depois do best-seller americano, de mesmo nome, da escritora PhD Carol S. Dweck.
Reprogramei a minha mente para atacar a causa raiz dos problemas que eu tinha no meu estilo de vida e também para EXPLORAR ao máximo o meu POTENCIAL PSICOLÓGICO, que é capaz de vencer qualquer batalha.
Adicionei na fórmula dois termos de forte impacto, para serem usados sempre que a minha mente ou o meu corpo tentassem me sabotar. “EXECUÇÃO CONSISTENTE” e “YOU VERSUS YOU”. Termos esses que, pronunciados diariamente sempre que a cabeça começava a “fraquejar” e o corpo começava a “reclamar”, serviam para que eu retomasse o CONTROLE da situação e me colocasse de volta no rumo correto, ajustando a rota, mantendo o FOCO e superando dia após dia cada novo DESAFIO. .

The one that will tell you to wait until your motivated, have time and money. The one that will keep you from growing into a better version of yourself.
Is also the one that will do the opposite, pushing you, encouraging you and transforming you into the bada$$ you were all along! You just gotta tap into that side of yourself by changing your mindset, learning, embracing change and surrounding yourself with those who get it!

We will be running our fun and challenging PASE Assessments during the following class times THIS WEEK to help establish your baseline numbers. Don’t worry if you miss a time during the week, we will be doing them on Saturday too✌🏼
MON 4:30 and 6:30pm
TUE 9:00 and 11:30am
FRI 5:15 and 6:15am
SAT 7:00 and 8:00am
BUT(T) 🍑 this is not just any PASE Assessment Week, this is also a competition against one of the other #FIT36 studios in a double elimination tournament for the number of PASE Assessments completed. We need each and every one of you (YEAH YOU) to hit a #PASE Assessment Day to move forward in the winning bracket for a chance at bragging rights and a cool 🏆 that we will keep in studio until the next contest.
Don’t worry about the moves, we will find a modification no matter what your level and/or limitations may be. The main point is to have fun and see how you improve moving forward (and to get that 🏆 of course!😉)
When it comes down to it, you are the only one standing in your own way. .
We will so easily try to talk others into doing something that’s good for them, but when it comes to ourselves, we will self sabotage or let our limiting beliefs about ourselves stop us from taking a chance. .
Take a chance
Quit that job you hate
Leave that relationship that no longer serves you
Start moving more
Do something you’ve always been interested in but too scared to try.
Get out of your own way!! .
This has been one of the many highlights of my client progressions since I’ve become a trainer.. She has NOT run or jogged in at least 2 decades.. YES you’ve read that correctly.. you may say that’s nothing but, it’s a huge victory... When Mare came to me this year, we had balance issues, lack of coordination, and lots of lack of mobility.. EVERYTHING has improved as you can see.. and she’s now attacking her nutrition and making better choices.. She’s doing more outdoor activities and kicked her TV to the curb for the most part.. What you may say isn’t possible.. I say with my faith.. any and everything is!
Stop saying tomorrow, I can’t, next week, next month etc
P.S. I didn’t tell her to run, I stepped outside and saw this.. she has no idea I recorded it.. Self-check: Are you adjusting yourself in at least some SMALL way, every single day?
I mean, ANYTHING! Sleep more, sleep better, be more patient, more grateful, make healthier choices with food, exercise, friends, relationships. .
If you aren't, then you probably feel like every day is the same. When everything is the same, that can lead to stagnation, FLATLINING. .
Flatlining is....you know. Flatlining is an indication of death! Here's the thing. Just like when someone is flatlining it doesn't mean they're gone. It's possible to get a heartbeat again. .
And it's possible for you, too. Start thinking of the person you'd like to be and then do, say, act, eat, whatever the thing is....DO IT. At least, do something in some way to get yourself a little closer. You ARE capable of it. And this growth isn't going to be handed to you. Take control of your mind and body and be the boss!

Client is Post-op ACL. Doing PT back in PA. PT in PA isnt focused on patellofemoral joint mobility at this time for some reason.
Avoiding patellofemoral dysfunction and patella tendinitis is a huge priority from the beginning to the end of #ACL rehab.
If you are struggling with your Range of motion or your Quad strength/neuromuscular control, limited patella mobility could be the issue. Regardless, your PT should be doing this and also showing you how to do it on your own.
