Do you ever step outside of your comfort zone with fashion? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sometimes it can be a little scary, but I promise you it’s worth it! This beautiful @hunterbellnyc dress was a step outside my comfort zone, but I ended up really loving it. And if you try a trend and don’t love it...you can take it off and try the next! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As I always say, make fashion FUN!! Anything you’ve worn recently that was a step outside your comfort zone and did you end up loving it?

Of course I love The Beatles, I’m not a monster, but I also really love each Beatle’s solo work, and for @paulmccartney , that obviously includes Wings! I’ve seen him twice now—at Dodger Stadium in 2014 and then at Citizens’ Bank Park in 2016—and each time has been with one of my college roomies. ❤️👯♀️ We were SUPER into the Beatles back then, so it’s awesome that I got to see Macca with both of them! We really explored his wholeeee discography, hence our joyful shrieks over “Temporary Secretary,” a synth-heavy jam from McCartney II. 😂😂 Had he done some of my other fave, post-Beatles songs (“Jet,” “Venus and Mars / Rock Show,” “Hot as Sun / Glasses,” “WITH A LITTLE LUCK”), I would have fully fainted.
And, naturally, Pops saw Wings on their Wings Over the World Tour in ‘76 and gave them that glowing review on the back of the ticket. He still gushes about that show, even though it was tied when he saw Led Zeppelin (!!) the following year. 😮

I don’t know about you but a great outfit can change my entire mood and change how I feel about how I look. Clothes help me express my own personal style and give me that boost of confidence I need to have a little more pep in my step. Personal style to me is the ability to FULLY express yourself strictly through fashion without having to say anything verbally. The cool thing is that EVERYONE has their OWN personal style and it sets you apart from everyone else. Things look different on everyone so we’re all unique in our own ways. What does personal style mean to you? I’d love to hear in the comments below!

A friend said to me recently, “You can’t make things nice, they either are or aren’t.” It’s well said. You can’t force a situation or an experience to be nice, in trying to do so, you end up ignoring things or pushing them aside. And in reality that can’t happen, so what you end up with is something a lot, lot worse. It’ll either be nice or it won’t, but neither takes away from the legitimacy of the experience.
Point is, it’s not in your control – our control over the world and others is purely a self-delusion.
