FILL UP MY CUP | LET'S LIVE IT UP
What a terrible day Saturday could have been!
I lost a friend the day before.
I was stunned.
Putting my pants on was as challenging as connecting south to north -- but it can be done, it is being done... So were buttoning my shirt, lacing up my shoes, blowdrying my hair, you know you get the picture, you get days like that when your hands are a hole where everything you hold slips right through.
But there was more: I was on my way out when I realized my eyeglasses were in my car that had left and there was no way it could turn around.
Without my glasses, my world was blurred, but it was everything-goes-wrong day.
A deeper sigh: In my hired car, I got stuck in a roadblock somewhere in Eton, ironically the alternative route to take to avoid the infamous Santa Rosa weekend jam.
Plus a flat tire just past Silang into Tagaytay.
But then it was @harold_geronimo's birthday party at Twin Lakes and I got a feeling, a feeling, woohoo, that tonight's gonna be a good night -- and it was.
And so I decided: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Saturday to Sunday, p-p-party every day, p-p-party!
I mean look at these boys playing their part in a tribute celebrating each decade of Harold's young-as-a-babe disposition that has been the story of his 40 years on earth -- the '80s, the '90s, the 2010s, and this current decade that'll end sooner than we can say 2020!
So fill up my cup.
Let's live it up.
Each day is a worthy celebration.
Let's drink to this wonderful life! And here's to more and more of it!
Happy birthday, Harold!
