Have you had one of those days that you really wonder why you’re doing what you’re doing? 😅 Sudden cancellations, team members late to staff huddles, insurance companies, are just some of the things that can really get to me during my work day 🤯 Over the past year, I’ve noticed myself evolving into one of those people who really value positivity 💆♀️ and carve specific time in the day to think about what went wrong and how I could’ve done better 🙏 Were there some issues I could’ve dealt with differently, been more empathetic? There’s always room to learn and improve as a leader! 👩🏽⚕️ Pictured above is MY #thinkingspot 😊 It gets the most direct sunlight, is close to my bookshelves, and features my friends’ @catalinagarreton gorgeous, one of a kind painting. I’ve noticed that as soon as I plop off my heels and get onto the couch at the end of the day, I immediately feel a lot better. Do you have a #thinkingspot too? It’s okay to prioritize YOU! #dailymotivation#lakewooddentist#dailygrind#calm#selfcare#seattledentist#pnw#mondaymotivation#dentistry
'Thinking spot' - I sit by this window every day, it's the perfect place to sit and think about the day ahead but mostly it's where I think about what to cook for dinner and provides the inspiration for most of my foodie thoughts😁Everyone should have a 'thinking spot' whether it's to ponder the wider questions of life or just to consider what to have for breakfast...its important to have a spot that provides some peace and mindfulness in this busy world of ours💚 #thinkingspot#contemplation#foodiethoughts#views#home#homecook#foodie#timeforthinking#foodinspiration#foodforthought
While I lived in Auckland I would often walk up Mt Eden because I lived right next to it. From the top, you can look out across the Hauraki gulf and see Rangitoto in the distance. Visiting Rangitoto was on my Auckland bucket list from the beginning, but I was waiting for the perfect day.
As it turned to spring, I made a new friend who I actually met because a previous travel buddy put is in touch. We decided one weekend to head to Rangitoto and climb to the summit. The views really were worth the wait and it showed off Auckland in all it's glory. Particularly the unique water which contrasts between light turquoise and dark blue. .
Before we got the ferry back to the city, we had some time near the ferry where we messed around doing handstands.
We also explored a little nearby and for a few moments I took myself to this little point where I looked out at the water and all the sailing boats enjoying the spectacular day. I remember being at peace in this moment and really appreciating the experience of living on the other side of the world. .
It was a super fun day and now I recommend visiting Rangitoto to anyone who visits Auckland. .
Have you had the chance to live somewhere abroad? .
Hoeing and clearing weeds is how I spent part of my fourth. Here’s one of my painted planters that’s going in my flower spot. 💚 Overworked my hooping arm though while working in the yard. Feeling better today so hoping to be back to stitching tomorrow afternoon... #gardenproject#freshpaint#thinkingspot
