I changed a bulb in my headlight in 97 degree heat that felt like 108 degrees. To a lot of people, that doesn’t seem like a big deal. To me, it is a big deal. My dad was absent for some of the most recent years, but when he was there, he taught me how to perform various forms of maintenance on my car. I don’t ever want to be the girl stuck on the side of the road waiting for someone to stop and save her. I want to be capable and knowledgeable. Society teaches that girls should learn how to work on cars from their dads. Why? Because previous generations left women dependent on men. By the time I’m old, I’m going to know my way around life with tools. I’m not going to complacently render myself helpless in a society where I am perfectly capable of helping myself.
❤️ Let’s Care & Empower Women Story # 6 ❤️
Few days ago, there was a post on the group asking for a psychiatrist for someone who has been in an accident and unfortunately got paralyzed. Then a comment on that post was made by Marianne Awad who mentioned that she’s been thru the same thing and was offering to help that poster in any way possible & she had an amazing positive attitude ! i got touched by that comment and by her beautiful spirit so i reached out to one of her friends to know her story so here is what her friend told me: “ Marianne had an accident on sahel road back in 2012, a passenger along unfortunately passed away, Marianne was sitting in the back and she got a spinal cord injury and she lost movement since then.. it was definitely hard!
a girl in the twenties of her age who has her life ahead, her work, her family...it was so painful ! She definitely got severe depression , many many surgeries , sleeping on her back for many months with terrible pain ! But she was strong enough to fight all this and regain her life again ! On a wheel chair, She got back to work and she had her life back ❤️ if you see her smile all day, you will never know the struggles she is facing!
She later had bone infection which resulted from an operation that was not well done & she lost her sister to leukemia last year yet she ALWAYS has this BIG BIG smile and positive attitude ❤️
She is actually one of the best performers at work with a great post too”
Isn’t this inspiring!! She didn’t let anything stop her! And isn’t she beautiful ❤️ God bless u Marianne and may u always have that smile and positive attitude habibti ❤️
HARD WORK | WATCH TO THE END | It's pretty obvious that if you want to get in shape and if you want to get strong you'll have to work hard. But I think that it's really something that many people miss. After posting on Reddit, many people reached out to me asking about my routine, thinking it was magic. It's not. In fact there are probably better routines for each person and each goal out there. But the thing that really matters is not what you do. It's how you do it. If you sit around on a leg press texting, don't expect serious success - you know that already
When you finish your sets, you should feel soreness. You should be tired. You should be sweating and uncomfortable. There's 0 way around it
Recently I have been doing these hurdle bounds to correct my bounds. As you can see in the video I am focusing on holding the non jumping leg stationary in order I don't come down on the ground which such strong force which will prevent me to keep the momentum I need to go into the next phase. Instead of putting the energy down I am learning how to transfer it forward. The second drill you see is to get me use to the motion of kicking my non jumping leg to my butt and holding it there for as long as I can pushing me forward and giving me the maximum distance. I will later on add more speed to my bounds to replicate an actual triple jump so I will be able to perform at my best every competition.
Killed it squatting last night with my bro @thabigdog32 ! 🤘 Did a powerlifting to volume session which was actually pretty fun until the volume part.... 😥 Showing my top sets with heavy singles first. Managed a single with 405 which was fairly easy, then failed 415 (mental mistake), then redeemed myself with another single with 405 right after. Honestly my last set with 405 I really dug deep for! Smh for not doing that with 415 because I felt I legit had it.... would've been a PR for bodyweight too! 😢 lol 😅
Fez-me crescer.
Fez-me bem recordar. Gratidão é a palavra certa!! 🙏🍀 #lifegoals#happiness#nurse#love#gratitude#strength#me#enfermagem#feliz#dedicacao#10year#luta#obrigada
ANTERIOR vs POSTERIOR PELVIC TILT ( @posturepro)
. ❌ Anterior pelvic tilt (hips dump forward) shows us weak core engagement, leaving us to hang out on our spine and connective tissue. Not something we want to put our bodies through, especially at the end ranges this exercise presents. Weight is unloaded onto knees between reps, which takes tension off the core and makes for wasted movement. This is the "I feel it in my low back" variation 😑😞
✅ Posterior pelvic tilt (tailbone scoops under) shows us strong core engagement, and puts our spine in a happy place. Connect ribs and hips, create an imaginary line between the two and don't let that space get any longer as you roll out. Weight stays on hands throughout movement, so there is constant tension on the core, just to varying degrees. This is the "my glutes/core/lats are on 🔥" variation
💡 Bottom line, both of these scapular planes are the result of poorly integrated muscle patterns. Our program teaches how to design a treatment plan to realign your pelvis so that your spleen can actually go back into balance! .
. 🖐 RAISE YOUR HAND if you want to learn how to permanently correct these two conditions!!
