weofficially finished our #selflove retreat this morning and, holy shit, it’s was incredibly beautiful. i went on a run during our break one afternoon and just danced. listening to reggaetón during hora dorada (golden hour) as the sun set to the east and chilly air came down the mountain from west, i smiled for two miles straight because, oh my god, this life is all mine. i live in paradise and i have been so blessed to spend my days sharing the magic of this country that has given me so much with other souls who were brave enough to step out of their comfort zones and take the first step in the fantastic and lifelong journey into themselves.

Homemade #rosewater is complete! Once it cools there a ton of things that it can be used for:
1. Facial toner and all-around skin mist, or as an additive/base to almost any diy skincare product. (note that if you’re going to be putting it on your skin or ingesting it you should be sure to use organic roses—fresh or dried—to avoid pesticides).
2. Hair rinse 3. Bath soak (🙋🏽♀️) 4. All natural fabric spray 5. To reduce under-eye puffiness 6. As an additive in food/drinks 7. In beauty/love spells and other water magic (🙋🏽♀️)
8. Spiritual sprays, i.e. baths, spells, and smudges in a bottle (🙋🏽♀️). Some things to keep in mind: (1) kept outside the fridge, rosewater will only last about a week. (2) Inside the fridge it will last 2-3 weeks. What is your expression of self love?
Meditation became mine with greater regularity After mum passed in early May.
I signed up to the TM course after a year of deliberating... that event was the catalyst to get off my bum and put those thoughts into action. I’m so incredibly glad I did. TM is indeed an incredibly simple practice, for those of us who struggle with meditation practices that focus on the breath.
Put simply it has never been easier to sit in nonjudgement of my “poor” meditation skills twice a day 😂

These past few weeks have been trying to say the least. The thought of gaining 20lbs in the span of 3 months has not been something I had planned on. I was planning on the polar opposite honestly.
My leg injury really took a toll on me and my life circumstances have been less than ideal in the same sense. Shits been real though... the struggle has been real.
So about a month ago I set a goal to sign up for the Holland 100 36 mile route (a bike ride in our local town-and something I have done before). Unfortunately life didn’t allow for me to get a new bike until 14 days ago. I managed to get 3 ride in beforehand, each ride with a crazy series of events that made it difficult-should I expect anything less at this point lol.
Fast forward to today.... the day of the Holland 100. With only 3 rides under my belt; since a back surgery, having a child and a major leg injury just this year plus an extra 40lbs since the last time I made the ride, I am proud to say I said I would do it.... AND I DID!! *Picture on the left 2013.

Official Hump day news:
I am excited to announce.... Iv lost half an inch around my waist!!! And BONUS- my toosh has stayed the same size. This came as big shock given my poor nutrition choices lately but heyyyy okayyyy I’ll take it ❤️ I’m switching things up soon if you guys saw my story I’ll be providing updates on that shortly!

Happy Sunday Funday!!! 🦋🐬🐠🌴🌊 I was soooo hesitant to post this, but I look so happy!! All I kept seeing was the imperfections since I’m no where near where I dream of being, but then I thought that the whole point of this is to keep progressing! I shouldn’t be so hard on myself when I’m making a daily effort to better myself and I think all you guys are too! That is why we continue to build one another up and giving each other mini motivational pep talks. The point is that any positive change, even small changes should be praised. When we fall, our focus should be on the moment we have gotten back up! The world is so challenging and heartbreaking enough as it is, and there are so many things out of our control. This however, we CAN control.
Shrimp avocado bowl made quick and deliciously for a long or busy day!...or just Becuz it’s yummy! Just chop up some lettuce, avocado slices, add cooked shrimp seasoned as you prefer, fresh salsa, Greek yogurt (my fave go-to for protein), chives, and spicy organic sprouts. Ps- I secretly went back and added a butt load of extra Greek yogurt since it taste jst like sour cream and I jst can’t get enough of sour cream 🥗🍤🥑🍅🌶

I love that saying that goes something like - better to have tried than to never have tried at all. It just made me think of all the times Iv quit rather than to hv shown patience. I think that’s so important for us to remember Becuz today I was starting to get so depressed over how much weight Iv gained and worrying if I’ll be able to lose it and reach my goals. I feel so uncomfortable in my skin right now especially Becuz i am constantly bloated. I kno carbs contribute to my bloating. Pretty much anything I eat and water will cause me to bloat. It makes me feel insecure at all times. Cutting out carbs tho does not seem to be the solution tho. Neither does quitting like Iv done so many times in the past. For now I’ll jst keep admiring everyone else’s progress and keep working on my own haha. ps- sorry for the specks on the mirror...it’s glitter 😅 jk but I jst wanna thank @hollyeatright And @mil_gyms for lifting my spirits today. U guys are the best 💙
