I felt my legs start to give, the joints in my knee start to twinge, and my brain didn’t seem to want to shut up...... Then I ran another 1.5 miles.
Highs and lows in every picture you see in this post. Days I only left the bed to run because I didn’t have the motivation to do anything else. Sometimes I pushed back runs, other times I did multiple a day. Life can suck, sometimes it feels like you’re going nowhere. In the end, you’re always moving, but sometimes you just don’t notice.
I set out to train for a 10k almost 2 months ago. Multiple things have come up and tempted me to stop. I’m not stopping anymore because stopping has only killed parts of me. Now it’s all or nothing. October 27th is my practice run, then I’m running the next 10k event I can find.

After a week interstate for work it took a big effort to get out of bed this morning to head to Pallara parkrun. As it was I made it with only a minute or two to spare. Not my fastest run on this course as I initially planned to take it fairly easy but when I found myself in the lead I pushed a bit harder (well, for me anyway!) and held on for a first finisher position. Really need to get back to more running as the run fitness has definitely dropped off over the past few months. All in all though, I was happy with the run on a beautiful winter morning and the two little kids volunteering also did a great job. 🙂
I've been recognized to be young, different and an athlete that exceled with #running, #cycling, climbing. Other things beyond sponsorship are killing #climbing and other sports. With more people playing, more people dilute the different ethics that were born strong.
First and foremost, #gyms with their #newwave ethics of safety. Was told from a new climber here in Ohio that she ascended a face solo and decided to descend the face solo because rappelling was too dangerous.
At another gym they teach gear placements #inside on the custom cracks built in to the wall.
At another, they teach #sportclimbing inside with devices to ensure safety rather than teach better #techniques.
It's just like the information technology community presently that relies on #certifications.
