My husband and I have always wanted 3 kids. While we were successful with our first 2 healthy baby girls, trying for our 3rd was not quite successful. I was told I had RH negative blood type which can cause miscarriages after the 1st baby. Not knowing much about it I just kept positive and thought my other two pregnancies were so easy and normal I’ll probably be fine. After trying we miscarried 3 times. The first time I was 10 weeks along and told everyone the news thinking I was okay. My 4 year old daughter was very excited hoping for a boy. She named him, sang to him, kissed him all the time. After I woke up from something taking over my body I knew something wasn’t right. I went to the ER where the dr told me there was no longer a heartbeat. Instantly upset I didn’t know how to handle it, my family and myself were already so attached. How do I break it to my 4 year old? Knowing I had a baby inside me that day that wasn’t alive was the hardest to think about. Having to tell everyone the news and relive the pain every time someone I forgot I told weeks later “how is the pregnancy?” Was so hard. My daughter didn’t understand it. She would still sing to him and tell him she loved him and would ask a million questions, she didn’t understand heaven yet. A few months later my husband and I tried again, I found out I was pregnant as soon as you basically can and I told no one, Christmas morning came three weeks later and I again lost the baby, while everyone was in Christmas spirit I was sulking. Trying to hide it and not ruin anyone else Christmas was also very hard. My husband and I a few months later tried once again. The pregnancy ended up being a ectopic pregancy. While that one was easier to get through I was very discouraged. I needed a break from it all. I had 2 beautiful girls who I loved so much and it was enough for me. I was leaving for Australia for my friends wedding, my husband and said goodbye the morning of. While I was in Australia I was craving weird things. I thought I was just jet lagged. I came home and wanted nothing to do with wine. Which is not like me. I took a test & BOOM we‘re now expecting #baby boy!
😂😂😂But for real though moms, did you have food cravings during #pregnancy?
With my 3 kids, each experience was different but food was bae. I remember craving party jollof so much that I looked forward to weddings just so I could go and eat party jollof😂😂 Can you share some of your #pregnancyCravings let's have a laugh... #PreggoThursday#PregnancyStories
apparently my newest pregnancy craving has been pancakes with fruit 🥞🍓🍌🍯🍽
1: vanilla pancakes with strawberries, bananas, & homemade syrup
2: vanilla & cinnamon pancakes with homemade berry compote/syrup made of blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, & blueberries
3: pancakes with bananas, a drizzle of honey, & cinnamon sprinkled on top
It’s still peak grilling season in my opinion and we spend most of our dinners eating on the back porch. These espresso rubbed steaks were SO easy to make and absolutely delicious! I grabbed the ingredients from @lidlus, including the organic grass fed sirloins. Total, this meal cost me less than $21, fed four of us and took less than 20 minutes to make. What a #momwin for a mid-week meal. #rethinkgrocery#lidlus#ad

Any other hungry mama out there? I feel like I am constantly hungry.
It doesn't matter what we will eat as long as we eat something.
If you are or were pregnant what did your baby consistently hear you saying?
