Today, we’re sending off more than 60 @wearetrinitystudents to summer camp at @grace_adventures_mears. As these students spend time away to grow in their relationships with Christ and others, we have the opportunity to pray on their behalf.
Take the next 60 seconds to pray for safe travels to and from camp, for rest and refreshment for every student, friendships to be born and strengthened, and for the Holy Spirit to be present and moving throughout the leaders and campers every day.
15 minute prayer pause - just what I needed between a morning of spiritual direction and afternoon meetings.
Full disclosure: a moment or two of napsio divina may have been involved! #holyhammock#prayerpause#napsiodivina#gratitude
Can you gift yourself today with a 15 minute prayer pause - or 5 minutes - or even a single minute.
Be still and know that I am God...
I recently received an email from a man demanding to know why God wasn’t blessing him. He recounted one unfortunate situation after another and, in a tone of bitterness, expressed his utter disappointment in God. His email was littered with references to “I,” “me,” and “my.” He never asked what he could do to please God, only complained at how God hadn’t pleased him. He didn’t talk about his obedience or any desire he had to be a child whose Father would be pleased to bless him. In fact, he never even talked about a Father-child relationship with God. 🌸 God is not a glorified Santa Claus. Nor is He obligated to bless any of us. If you’re all about you, and what God is or isn’t giving you, God might be choosing not to bless your life until you become all about Him (Luke 9:23). When you die to self (Galatians 2:20), your focus won’t be on whether or not you’re being blessed, but on how to be a blessing to God.
