It was a very very windy day at the beach today... a few rain sprinkles and some sunshine... but mostly windy... sand blowing uncomfortably everywhere. If you stood in the water it was a respite from the battering ...a moment to see the beauty of the wind blowing the waves and the sand. the beach was empty for most of the day... and in the afternoon, a rainbow appeared in the sky above the ocean 🌊 it was magic.. and then it turned into a double rainbow... and then as quickly as it arrived, it disappeared. the beauty of nature in its storm and amidst difficult conditions... is often followed by magical moments. 💗 Is there an emotional storm you have weathered recently that challenged you... looking back, can you find a moment of wisdom or gratitude ...an insight gained as a result of the storm? 🌈 #mazenspace#womenswellness#philadelphia#mindfulness#ardmore#mindful#maternalmentalhealth#newmomsupport

Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens (PMG) is an immersive mixed media art environment that is completely covered with mosaics. The creator, Isaiah Zagar, used handmade tiles, bottles, bicycle wheels, mirror, and international folk art to chronicle his life and influences.
Summer’s end is upon us - the tree on my front yard has (oddly) already lost its leaves and leather and wool are in the windows.
Maybe it’s just the educator in me, but I always think of the fall as the “new year”. A fresh start. A new chapter. Bring on the uniforms, school supplies, new books and haircuts!
But, as my kids get ready for a new year, I ALSO feel a deep desire for a fresh start.
And this leads to my cleaning out everything!! ... refrigerators, cabinets, closets, drawers... because crap builds up, right? 😀
We need to pull back the curtain and take a look see.....The things that take up space in our lives - need to be re-evaluated - their usefulness needs to be reassessed!
And this ALWAYS brings me to my ultimate fall clean up - ME!! Because during the summer months - as much as I love them, things build up - things like lots of late nights, dinners out, drinks with friends and travel. And although I wouldn’t change a thing about it - come fall, I’m ready for a reset.
Can you relate? Do you also feel like you could some hitting of the RESET button?
