The word “overcome” is the Greek word nikos, which is also the word for victory. But the grammar used in this statement does not imply a single victory in the past, but a continuous and abiding victory. Therefore, the idea that this Greek word presents is this: “I have overcome the world; I am still overcoming the world; and I will always be in an overcoming position over the world!” If you’ll make the choice today to get up, brush off the dirt, tell your mind and emotions to be silent, and submit yourself to these words of Jesus, the Holy Spirit will begin to fill you with new strength so you can come through the difficult situations you are facing victoriously. And as you rely on God’s power to bring you to the place of victory you desire, you will learn how to overcome every challenge you will ever face in life!
I feel like I’ve restarted my life so many times in my 20’s. Like I’m going in circles. I’m not complaining though, I’ve learned a lot from my mistakes. I’ve learned to stick up for myself, and not to settle for less than I deserve. Life has humbled me with my fair share of harsh realizations over the years, but I’ve always been good at adapting to change. I’ve always searched for stability in the most unstable people in the past, because I try to see the best in others, and that may be my biggest weakness. However, I’ve finally learned to provide my own stability, and to advocate for what’s best for my kids and I. For that I am proud. For all those times I’ve started over, I’ve done it with a fresh perspective. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, I’ve loved, and I’ve lost. But most importantly, I’ve grown. 29 will be my most selfish year yet, because I’ve given so much love to those who didn’t deserve it over the years. So this year, I love myself, 29 year old me. She deserves my love. She is wiser, she is stronger, and now she’s even thinner than 20 year old me anyways. 😝🤘🏻•
I had an idea for myself! Going to try creating #mealcollages of the meals I'm looking forward to for the week! It would be amazing if I could work up to doing this per day but per week is a nice goal for now! The bottom right is my lovely meal of chicken wings, cucumbers, a plum, and cottage cheese! All fruits and veggies were bought with @imperfectproduce delivered right to my door!! Shrimp has always been a fear food but I am looking forward to making it with some gluten free ricotta stuffed ravioli! Lastly, some meal prepping with chicken, potatoes, and green beans sounds lovely!
Commit to that! You are gonna get the life you want no what 🥰🥰🥰
Are you an, "I can't person?" or a, "How can I person?" Well Craig could, and did. Let's hear from him!
Have you ever felt like the picture inside your head is not anything like the one in the the photos? That was me! In my head I was fast and fit but in reality I was flabby and fat! As a professional athlete physical fitness was never a problem for me! That is, until I started a family and got a job in the computer industry and began packing on weight.. It was actually 50 lbs. <YUCK> All that extra weight had troubling consequences like out growing my wheelchair and not being able to keep up with my boys 😞 I had to do something… And fast! In 2010, I found the Optimal Health Lifestyle program that would change my life in significant ways, my first step was getting rid of the extra weight. I’m now pursuing ultra health (the stage beyond optimal), not letting excuses “stand” in my way. Shortly after starting, I began training to become a Coach so that I could help others. Now I primarily train others assisting them as they launch their own coaching practice. I still love working one-on-one with my people who are "not as healthy as they want to be." #howcani#youcandoit#fit#flabby#physical#athlete#healthy#mindset#overcome#dontgiveup#motivation#inspire#happy#coach#family#friends#goals#thrive

Do you let the weather determine if you're going to exercise?
I used to do that! Before I had a driver's licence, and back when I was literally terrified to go out in public.
I grew up very sheltered, and verbally and mentally abused by my father, and physically abused on occasion by my brother.
We didn't camp. We didn't snowboard or ski. We didn't snowshoe. We did house and yard work. School, then home-45 min each way on the bus.
I used to have panic attacks about going home; not knowing what was in store for me-would I get yelled at for something stupid for an hour? Would I be called horrible, degrading things? Would I be accused of trying to poison people in my own home? .
It took me a lot of years, but my walls are down, and I find joy in every. Single. Season.
I've met a lot of amazing people who treat me with the love and respect I didn't have growing up.
I have friends to hike with, friends to workout with, friends to eat and drink with, an di have a family that I built, that enjoys camping and walking in the rain, or snow or whatever!
No matter your situation, keep fighting for that life you want! I fought for 20 years before having a slice of something right.
I fell alot. I make stupid mistakes..... And repeat them sometimes before I learn.
Still fighting--and still owning my life in every season.

Let me explain our reasoning behind this.
Let’s say we are working in 30-minute blocks from 9-5; I know I am being conservative with time and let’s use this as an example.
Let’s assign an hour break through the day, so this gives us 14 units of time each day so 70 during the week.
When most business owners come to us, these 70 units are linked to doing a shed load of tasks! From a bit of billing, market research, to sorting out role descriptions to micromanaging their billers, carrying out bank reconciliations, writing blog posts, resourcing and many other things which could be done by some else to move the business forward; not the business owner.
Time to shift from doing the things someone else should do to things that only you can do to move the needle.
Here is a critical fact: Genuinely successful people focus on one or two things that matter.
Let’s go back to those 70 units of time.
Imagine you are distributing your time across ten different areas in the business. That would mean you are moving the needle up by seven units in each area; in theory sort of OK?
Now, what if you have two key areas? This would mean your results would shift to thirty-five in each area: Wow! What a difference this could and would make as you move forward on the things that matter.
For those who don’t know, I had a horrible fall the summer of 2015. I had my head sliced open, my back covered in gravel rash to the point doctors thought they were going to have to stitch my back.
I became terrified of getting back in the saddle, even scared to be too close to my own horse. This year (2019) I enrolled into gym class, being told that we would be going horseback riding during this school year. We finally went, and I was ready to back out. My gym teacher wouldn’t let me, and after 5-10 minutes of breathing and shaking, I swung myself into the saddle and sat. I sat and proceeded to cry my eyes out. After 2 years I was finally back on a horse and went for a trail ride. By the end of the ride, I didn’t want to get off, I wasn’t sore or tired. Everything felt right. I’m sure once I get onto my own horse, I’ll cry again. But for now my confidence is back.
And some days you just look like this!! Life isn’t always easy, sometimes things get so heavy we just need to breathe literally breathe! Easier said then done! Any parent out there will tell you that!
I felt it when I woke up, the exhaustion, worry about every little thing in life. I was super tired all day, could be my surgery or could be my mind but either way I was just exhausted. So I rested, I didn’t sleep but I didn’t think either! If you are feeling like me, do the same. It does help.
But then, it escalated! I picked up Leah from school and she went into a spiral of I don’t even know what to call it! But it was her ADHD at its finest in the worst form! Tantrums, years, upset, clearly anxiety was playing a role! I was upset, she was upset! I was crying she was crying! It was hard, but then it finally calmed down!
Anxiety is real! Adhd is Real! Living life with it is Soooo real!! Today was a tough day, but it’s ending with hugs and love and better then it started!
So, moms and dads out there if you somehow crossed my post tonight and you can relate, just know you aren’t alone! Things aren’t always easy but your kiddos are worth it! Hang in there. Tomorrow is a new day! 🙌

“Life is Heavy, So Tighten Your Grip.” . . . Face it, life is heavy and it can be really hard. Our lives are full of heartbreak and uncertainty that is entirely out of our control. While we cannot always control the weight of our circumstances and the heaviness of life, we can control how we choose to carry it and how we allow it impede our forward progress. Just like learning to overcome uncertainty in an obstacle course race, we build our tolerance and ability to overcome the unexpected obstacles in our daily lives. We can develop our mental muscle (our “mental grip”) to be better prepared for handling life’s difficulties. Our mental grip is the way that we approach, interpret, and experience situations; essentially, it is our “handle” on the reality around us. When we use our mental grip, we are not stopped in our tracks by hardships or obstacles; we simply adapt, tighten our grasp, and find more effective and efficient methods for carrying our heavy burdens. Tightening your mental grip means approaching life with a positive mindset, resilience, and mental fortitude…regardless of the circumstances. ⭐️Want to read more? Where is your focus? Are you focused on the strength within or allowing outside factors to control you? •
We are bombarded by extrinsic variables everyday; whether that be social media, the candy machine outside your office, or that glass of wine calling your name. But if you want to be successful, you have to develop those inner strengths and learn to not let those outside factors control and deter you from your goals. •
@jenna_papaya proving that even in 40 degree water, she has the mental toughness to overcome.
I know I am stronger than I think I am, I have moments I feel so weak and breakdown.
I question if I can do this, going back to school, being a single mom, working full time helping survivors of human trafficking, working on my goal to compete again, wanting to build my own business to help and inspire others, I question if I have the strength and perseverance to get through the hard moments.
I am making a commitment to myself and the people I love to lean on them more to lean to God more and to reach out when I need help.
I can’t do this on my own. I have faith and I believe that I will be able to do all of these things I dream of in life. I just have to get past these hard moments, I have been blessed with a lot to carry on my shoulders, with my son, my work and purpose in life. I can and I will get through this, I will not fall. 💪❤️🙏 #fitnessmotivation#overcome#faith#family#fitness#iam1stphorm#mentalhealthawareness#humantraffickingawareness#strength#perserverance#goals#fitlife#npc#npcbikini#staystrong#dontfall
