Every time I make bliss balls, my kids ask me if they can take them to school, but I always have to say no because they contain nuts. While writing the lunchbox section for this book, I figured it was about time I wrote a nut-free bliss ball recipe. I wanted it to be different to the standard chocolate bliss balls, and my daughter Leilani loves eating berries. She has been taking these for lunch ever since.

FEELING GRATEFUL for our village. From caregivers to school to friends & family - we’ve got very supportive people in our lives. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ BUT This didn’t happen over night though ... it took me getting comfortable with caring for my daughter and then figuring out a system to teach others with. The system I use is my F.A.S.T. Method and it can be used in lots of different scenarios in life with food allergies! Join our email list to learn more about how to transform your life and live free despite food allergies!!!!! Yesterday, I bought a bag of plain @oddbagels from the @nourishedfestival in San Mateo. I cut them in half and froze them last night. I defrosted and lightly toasted a half to eat for lunch today. It was so amazing, I cooked the other half. Odd Bagel boils their New York style bagels, and they actually taste like bagels, instead of bread in the shape of a bagel. They are heavenly topped with whipped butter. I will definitely be placing an order soon, once I make some space in my freezer.
The story of Joshua’s allergic reaction.👇🏻
I walked into the house from a quick run to the store. The kids were all at the table eating dinner. Joshua was coughing. Wayne looked at me and said, “Something’s not right. He’s been coughing like that ever since he started eating.”
An allergic reaction was nowhere on my radar. Sure, it was a new brand of food, but it was gluten free pasta and he wasn’t allergic to any of the ingredients.
I had taken a pic of Samantha eating hers and he begged me to take a pic of him. Now, I feel sick seeing the pics, his face and allowing him to continue eating it. I had no idea what was happening. His cheeks were bright red and also around his lips. We kept checking him for hives but saw none.
The cough was very tight sounding. I took him outside into the cold air to see if that might help, thinking it could be croup. No change. He was coughing so much, he could barley get words out.
When he started throwing up, I knew it was an allergic reaction. We got him in the van (with puke bags). I ran inside to grab my purse and said to Wayne, "I know I need to epi him." "Then do it!" Wayne encouraged. I got him out of his car seat and all of the memories of when I epi'd Will at age 3 came flooding back. It was traumatic for both of us, and I said to Wayne, "I can't do it! I just need to get him to urgent care!"
As I pulled out of the driveway, I called my mom. She could hear him coughing and struggling and started very emphatically saying, "Stephanie, you need to epi him! Pull over and do it!" I was crying, terrified and saying I couldn't do it when she said, "Yes you can do it! You are a warrior! He is fighting for his life and now YOU need to fight for him!"
Those were the exact words I needed to hear! I pulled off into our pool parking lot, crying and panicking, but my mom continued to encourage me that I could do it and that I HAD to do it...

🍯🐝 Eczema Honey 🍯🐝
Who else dislikes this cold weather just as much as I do? 🥶 Wellllll this cream I’ve been using the past year makes it a little better. I came across this company when I was searching for a healthy option to help with bumps on my arms and thighs and this didn’t disappoint. Although I’ve found a mixture of products I enjoy, this is great for achieving smooth skin. It does leave a tacky feeling after applying so a little goes a long way! All of their products are cruelty free 🐇 organic and even started making a lot more nut free options!
Ps- keep this in the fridge for a cooling and relieving feeling 😌
