hello! I have 3 little videos from my time in Northern Ireland, I’ve just uploaded my travel, titanic & game of thrones one. feel free to go check it out! ❤️ link in my bio + stories, goodnight 🌙
Are you ok?
Northern Ireland has by far the highest rates of suicide in the UK, in 2017 there were 18.5 per 10000; 13.9 in Scotland, 13.2 in Wales and 9.2 in England. Some of this difference lies in a failing government to address the epidemic within mainly young men. “We have a 25 per cent smaller budget than in England, with a 25 per cent greater need.” From someone who has suffered in the past with mental health issues I know the pain and isolation that are so all consuming.
Years later I am doing ok, but it wasn’t for another young man from Belfast.
I saw tears rolling down every cheek.
I saw hearts breaking.
I saw complete disbelief, willing it not to be true.
I saw the moment the news of your death broke upon some of your best friends.
Memories have been revisited.
Stories have been retold.
More tears have been had.
You will be sorely missed by each one of your friends.
And although I never had the pleasure of really getting to know you, know this. I have seen more love than I thought it was possible to have for a single person.
Robbie, you will be be missed.

Combat sport athletes - what does your strength and conditioning work look like?
If is is high volume, high intensity training which attempts to replicate the demands of your sport then I can GUARANTEE you that you are doing it wrong and not getting optimal results from it.
Trying to replicate your sport is sub-optimal for 2 main reasons.
1. It’s IMPOSSIBLE to replicate the intensity of your sport.
2. You are just training the same energy systems that you already get enough exposure through practicing your sport.
Strength and conditioning work should focus on those elements of fitness which are not covered by your sport but which will help you improve performance. For example you are unlikely to improve your top end power or speed production during training so it’s worth training this as becoming a more powerful and speedier athlete will undoubtedly increase your performance levels. And ultimately this is what it’s all about. Going balls out all the time might make you feel like you’re getting fitter but in reality your completely missing out on the type of strength and conditioning which will make you a better fighter.
Or maybe your just one of those fighters that doesn’t believe in strength and conditioning🙄
Anyway If you want help designing an S&C program which is guaranteed to make you a better athlete then hit me up here or check out my website:
A museum in Newry, Northern Ireland is using my singing voice for their audio guide! 🎵 The tune “Newry Boat Song” is one of the first songs that made me want to be a singer. I remember singing it in my bedroom when I was 10 or 11 (I was extremely cool) and being so struck by how the story was not only in the text but in the melody as well—it falls and rises like sea waves, like oars, like the emotion the heartbroken speaker is trying to restrain. Anyway, it’s nice to think that I’m always singing it now in the place it’s about✨

Here I'm pregnant, very nauseated and desperate with what is happening in the Amazon.
The Brazilian government is ending a very important forest for the salvation of the planet, something has to be done.
Find out how important the Amazon is! Text from @wwf:
The Amazon rainforest has long been recognized as a repository of ecological services not only for local tribes and communities, but also for the rest of the world. It is also the only rainforest that we have left in terms of size and diversity.
But as forests burn and global warming worsens, the impact of Amazon deforestation continues to gradually undo the fragile ecological processes that have been refined over millions of years.
Ironically, as rainforest continues to disappear, scientific work from the last two decades has shed light on the critical ties that link the health of rainforests to the rest of the world.
So, without tropical rainforests the greenhouse effect would likely be even more pronounced, and climate change may possibly get even worse in the future.
Tropical forests and woodlands (e.g. savannas) exchange vast amounts of water and energy with the atmosphere and are thought to be important in controlling local and regional climates.
Water released by plants into the atmosphere through evapotranspiration (evaporation and plant transpiration) and to the ocean by the rivers, influences world climate and the circulation of ocean currents. This works as a feedback mechanism, as the process also sustains the regional climate on which it depends. #amazonrainflorest#prayforamazonia

~over the summer as I've been helping at different holiday bible clubs, I've been teaching kids about
f a i t h & what it means to have faith in God - & I feel like, all the while I've been trying to explain it to cute 'lil 5yr olds, God's been teaching me a lot too...just as an example, I was telling the story of Abraham being called by God to leave home & go to a foreign country, even though he did not know where he was going. It got me thinking. I'm a 22yr old who has no idea what I'm doing with my life😂 a bit like Abraham, my future is completely unknown. I don't know what's ahead. I don't know what career path to go down, what to apply for or how to go about this whole process of finding a job. And in the midst of it all, I honestly believe God is saying - 💛don't worry about it, I'm in control & I've got you covered💛 I'm reminded of the verse "in his heart a man plans his course but the LORD determines his steps" [Proverbs 16 v 9] So even if I had my future all planned out, God's will would still prevail! Think that's sooo amazing - 🌼F a i t h in God is B I G G E R than future fears!!🌼~
When Abraham didn't have a clue what was ahead, did he hesitate & decide to stay right where he was at. NO!! why not?! Because he knew that God knew the way & that's all that matters. God isn't going to reveal to me His whole plan for my life. He'll just show me the next step to take, & I pray that by faith (believing without seeing), I will step out & be obedient to God's call - trusting that
//H e k n o w s b e s t & I don't need to know the rest//
Praying that I will surrender all my ambitions, hopes & plans to the one who knows best, & praying that you'll take that step of faith too. It's definitely not the easiest decision you could make, but it's without a doubt the BEST one!
"faith is being sure of what we hope for & certain of what we do not see" Hebrews 11 v 1🌼"'for I know the plans I have for you', declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you & not to harm you, plans to give you hope & a future" Jeremiah 29 v 11
