I am finally getting around to editing some of our adventure in Alaska. Y’all this trip was incredible. We rode a helicopter to the Mendenhall Glacier. Hiked to this stunning wall and did push ups on the ice to drink water straight from the ground. (Per no cups 😂)I was nervous at first if the water was safe. But, then I was like how often are you on a glacier, why not!?! It was the coldest water and place ever! I will say after you taste that water...regular water will never be the same. It was amazing!
Glaciers are blue in color because water is very good at absorbing light. Only the strongest light, with the most energy, is able to escape. Blue is the color of light that has the most energy. Because of this, blue is the only color of light that can escape without being absorbed. The thicker the glacier is, the more blue it appears. .
To the guy who has been a home for my heart, who has always led with kindness and patience, who has climbed mountains with me, surfed white-caps with me (and better than me), hung off the side of the CN Tower and the side of a Peruvian cliff with me, who cooks because I hate to, who does things like goat-yoga and paint-a-sign night with me, who has a soul so generous and giving, who endured the chaos of the Raptors parade with me, who sits and stares at the horizon with me, who chases sunsets with me--happy, happy birthday. It is your day, yet I'm the one who got all the gifts. #happybirthday#love#thisis39#birthday#july16#julybirthdays#mytravelpartner
