A couple years ago someone came up to me and asked, "Like, do you teach reading and stuff?" Keep in mind the person asking this is a very close relation and I have been a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist for YEARS. I kind of wanted to shout through the phone, "HAVE YOU NOT LISTENED TO A WORD COMING OUT OF MY MOUTH FOR THE LAST 12 YEARS?!!!" However, my response was, "Yes, how can I help you?" - - - I just had this same situation happen with yet another close relation who was like, "How do you diet ALL THE TIME!" Where did you learn all of that stuff? To this I answered, "I have never been on a diet and never plan on being on one." You should have seen this person's face. Weeks later they hired me to help them lose weight and they were down 8lbs. in a week and complaining they couldn't eat all the food. - A couple of months later I was at a 4th of July celebration and people I was with were SHOCKED that I was eating not only ice cream, in a cone, but a fudge pop. - Here is the deal y'all. I am lucky that I was never too over weight. I have only needed to loose 20lbs (sometimes over and over). However, I am also unlucky in that I have the keen ability to gain weight by just looking at food. Yet, I have learned principals to live by that make a healthy lifestyle possible and non-restrictive. - Helping others learn to live a healthy non-restrictive lifestyle is my side job and passion. 5 weeks difference. The girl on the left struggled with finding a balance. After my first daughter I essentially almost starved myself and did so much cardio so I could be “small” post baby because that’s what I thought stereotypically I needed to be. After the birth of my second child I promised myself to not do that again, so I lifted weights and did cardio. I ate what I thought was right and nothing changed. I experienced extremely bad digestion - inflammation and could not get my body or weight to change. So .. I started working out extra hard , doing more cardio and as much as I tried not to I spoke negatively to and about myself . I thought it was fine if I forgot to eat half the day if I just ate a “big” meal at the end. Yet I still had no energy, my moods fluctuated and nothing changed. I had a HUGE sweet tooth which I gave into far to often, but it was fine right? Because I worked out and didn’t eat a lot of other bad things? **i also JUST stopped nursing and am hoping once my hormones regulate I will be able to start putting on more mass. No testosterone makes it very difficult... I beat myself up a lot about that. How can I work so hard but nothing is changing?!** The girl on the RIGHT. Finally figured it out. Thanks to having a huge desire to find a career I could help others but also knowing I needed to take care of my health and treat myself inside and out right. My inflammation is gone, my digestion is sooo much better, my energy has doubled and I am HAPPY. I don’t crave sugar like I used to and I do less cardio. I no longer beat myself up about occasionally having a “treat” and I generally feel like I can be the mother and person I want to be! Learning how and when to properly fuel my body not only is rapidly changing my outside. Most importantly it is changing my inside. Posting the “before” picture was extremely hard for me, but I know if I can make an impact on just one person and give them hope that they can find their best health and truly feel their best inside and out, it was worth it!

🥂🥳🎉[AUTO RESPONSE]: Permanently Out of Office⁣ ⁣ After tomorrow, I will officially become a full-time entrepreneur and leave behind my safe, secure, incredible job which has helped me grow and flourish as a dietitian over the past 3+ years 👩🏻‍⚕️🍏⁣ ⁣ This is by far the hardest decision I’ve made in my entire life but has been a moment I’ve dreamed about since I was in high school💫⁣ ⁣ Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be able to pull this off but I didn’t silence my goals. Here’s how it all went down: 😜👇🏽⁣ ⁣ 💎 I started off by switching my Instagram & Facebook accounts from personal to professional and developing a really strong brand voice. My first 6-9 months I had very few clients and I soon realized it was more of a hobby than a business and that needed to change.⁣ ⁣ 💎Next came investments, I spent 💰$25,000+💰 (that I didn’t have) on courses, mentorship, business coaching, professional development and networking trips, etc. so this way the energy of how I was showing up in life began to take a real serious, monumental pivot. This was just 6 months after I made my final payment of my college loan debt and made a promise to myself that I was done “spending money on education” yeah ok that worked out well 🤪⁣ ⁣ 💎Then came the hustle, or the grind as they call it. This was BY FAR the most difficult part of the entire journey. For the past year, not a day went by where I wasn’t working in some capacity. Most days I would work in my full-time job from 9-5:30, commute an hour, then work on my biz from 6:30-1am. ALMOST. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I made major sacrifices with my sleep, self-care, quality time with my fiancé, and social life to pull off these 15 hour work days which I no longer will have to do!⁣ ⁣ I found what sets my soul on fire and I’m not slowing down any time soon. Because I thought I WAS SUPPOSED TO. 🤦🏽‍♀️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Since then, while traveling 🧳 , while living my life according to soul.. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve studied the human mind, human potential, passion, purpose and habits relentlessly. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So much so, I didn’t even KNOW I was studying it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But I’ve read 100’s of books, taken 10’s of courses and 10’s of tests and exams. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve studied yoga 🧘‍♀️ and its philosophy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve studied meditation 🧘‍♂️ and mindfulness. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve studied NLP + EFT. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve learned how to heal trauma. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve learned how to retrain the brain 🧠 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve learned how to rewire ourselves energetically. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Oh and I don’t have a degree in any of this. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I have barely any papers at all. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But I have results. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My clients get results. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve seen real world change in my life and the lives of my clients and I facilitate that change. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When you are passionate about your life, when you listen to what your interests are and follow them, you’ll put in 💯 %. This class is a fabulous challenge for the core, abdominals and obliques. It’s advanced but even a beginner/intermediate like me, could give it a good go. ⁣ This picture isn’t a #TBT ⁣in the traditional sense. But it is a week or so old! ⁣ Do you know what I really want to throw back to? My attitude. ⁣ ⁣ I tried plenty of diets. I had a hard time sticking to them. No bread? Not going to happen. No sugar? Not gonna happen. Never eat pizza again? NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. I managed a few weeks, tops. Did get decent results. But a life event came around, or just plain cravings I couldn’t beat anymore and my diet was gone. Ruined! ⁣ ⁣ I had no idea what I was doing. I was mixed up with portions and what was healthy. I counted calories and ate the wrong the foods. Exercise was WORK. I hated it. ⁣ ⁣ Then I found this journey. It was okay to not love working out; I was reminded, it helps you get stronger! It helps burn calories. We’re lucky to have able bodies that let us do those things! It okay to eat snacks, just in moderation. That veggies and fruits are first. Then comes proteins, carbs (gasp! I get carbs!) healthy fats... I was taught how to treat myself. I was encouraged that indulgence is part of life. ⁣ ⁣ Here I am, 20 pounds lighter. MUCH stronger. And feeling so much better. I have a long way. I still have improvement in my NUTRITION. (Never a diet) but I have the tools to improve. To learn and to continue. I made this my side gig for added accountability. It’s now my job to workout. Done. I always show up for work! ⁣ ⁣ I think I’ve hit my stride! What is one food you can’t do without?! Drop the emoji below! Mine is a tie! 🍩🍦🍕

This is my friend each morning, but not today. If you notice, my alarm is set for 4:00 am. Yes, that's right. And actually I have the clock set 10 minutes ahead. This morning instead of hitting snooze, I accidentally turned it off. Luckily my husband's alarm was set for 5:00 and I woke up to that. You may not know, but i HATE being late. What was worse was that i thought i would only get one of my workouts in. Then i would have to do the other late tonight. Well, I got up and was so pissed at myself. So I quickly got started and didn't even sign in with my #nosnoozecrew because that would have taken longer. I did do both workouts, but was moving fast all morning getting ready, kids ready, out the door and to work for a presentation I had to give. I finally got to breathe a little after my presentation...whew to hectic of a morning. So glad I don't do that very often. Yes, I am dedicated and some call me crazy for getting up so early to workout. But, I am not the only one...I have friends on #nosnoozecrew with me each morning. The main thing is I have committed to myself. I workout each day because I feel so much better and I love the way I'm looking as I get stronger. It doesn't matter what time you workout, just as long as you make that time for yourself. Join me in regular workouts (20-40 minutes) to be your best. I meet a lot of people who tell me they 𝘞𝘈𝘕𝘛 to lose weight & how serious they are about doing so. The problem comes when people say they 𝘞𝘈𝘕𝘛 to change yet very few actually do. 92% of people will quit on their NYE resolution - meaning only 8% stick to their commitment to change.⁣ ⁣ 𝗪𝐇𝐘⁣ ⁣ It's not all the reasons you're thinking like " I don't have time", "I don't have the right information", or "I need more motivation". Truth is those are all excuses. At the end of the day it comes down to one factor 𝘠𝘖𝘜.⁣ ⁣ The difference between wanting to change & being 𝘞𝘐𝘓𝘓𝘐𝘕𝘎 to change comes down to taking 𝘈𝘊𝘛𝘐𝘖𝘕. If you're not taking actions 𝘊𝘖𝘕𝘚𝘐𝘚𝘛𝘌𝘕𝘛𝘓𝘠 to change you're not that serious about it. I don't care how much you talk about it, if you do nothing - it won't happen.⁣ ⁣ Here are the stages of change:⁣ ⁣ 𝗪𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 - where everyone starts - this is where you 𝘛𝘈𝘓𝘒 about changing - you know you should, but the pain and pressure hasn't really hit you yet - so it's not really a priority. This is your "should" stage - you know you 𝘚𝘏𝘖𝘜𝘓𝘋 get to the gym and eat better but you put it off. ⁣ Ask yourself:⁣ ❓What about me/this situation do I 𝘕𝘌𝘌𝘋 to change?⁣ ❓Why do I need to change?⁣ ❓What has been keeping me from changing?⁣ ❓How do I go about changing?⁣ ⁣ 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 - You realize the importance of changing & actively seek the information you need to change. You're reading books, online articles, looking up nutrition coaches etc. This can be dangerous when you trick yourself into thinking that just because you have a lot of knowledge and information that you're actually changing. Just because you have a ton of knowledge doesn't mean you're taking action. The next step is to think about what is the worst possible outcome that can happen as a result of 𝘕𝘖𝘛 changing. The pain of remaining the same is more severe than the pain of taking action.⁣ ⁣ 𝗪𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 - You're not only willing to seek the information you're ready to take action. If you're not taking action you aren't at this phase, nor are you serious about making change.⁣ ⁣ What stage are you in 👇🏼

I know you want nothing more than to love and be loved in return. To finally have someone to be your +1 so you can stop having people ask you why you’re single, or not married yet. To have someone to come home to and be your soft place to land. But most women I talk to, after some digging, tell to me that they’re deathly afraid to open their hearts again in fear of getting hurt. This is normal, but not helpful. Your fear of getting hurt again is actually creating an impenetrable field of RESISTANCE around you. Because love and fear cannot coexist, and fear literally repels love. It’s why you’re not meeting anyone you’re actually interested in. It’s why the ones you like don’t like you back. It’s why you’ll be the one that bolts or sabotages it with a truly wonderful man, if you don’t make peace with them. I see it all the time. These fears have you so convinced that you’re just “bad at love” or “unlucky” that you’ll ruin it for yourself even if a great man does come along by doubting, rejecting and not trusting it. And it’s how I see a lot of beautiful, smart, sassy & sensitive souled women shooting them selves in the foot when it comes to love. By not knowing how to get to the other side of fear where love is. The good news is that it’s not only possible but one of the best things you’ll ever do. To know how to summon the fierce courage, vulnerability, and confidence that true love will require of you. I’m honoured to take beautiful souls on this journey. Because after working together when true love does present itself to you and fear tells you to run and not jump (and it will) you won’t run away scared like a princess in the woods because you’re frightened and overwhelmed and don’t know what to do. You’ll take a deep breath, lift your chin, pull back your shoulders and take the leap like the Queen that you are because you’ve slayed the dragon of fear and know exactly what to do. #changeisgood _ L: 06/19 - R: 09/19 I remember when food used to be a source of emotional relief and the way I dealt with my problems. I’d bounce from one diet to another because I wanted a fast and easy solution with little to no effort at all. _ I categorized food as bad, evil, and the main source of my health issues and dreaded going out to eat because I knew I won’t be able to control myself! _ I based my value as a person on the scale and believed that when I reach that “ magical number” that I’d be happy. If I lost weight I was told I was too skinny, if I gained weight I was told I was too fat and I spent pretty much my whole life being judged by the people around me and constantly criticized by the way I looked. After all, my job depended on my weight. So I didn’t eat anything sometimes and then ate, and ate and kept on eating to hide the emotions of never being able to please those around me. _ This wasn’t the way I wanted to live my life, and I needed to do something to change this vicious cycle. It took years for me to realize that the source of my weight issues was not food itself but my relationship with it! _ Changing my mindset was the beginning of THE END of a complicated and toxic relationship with food! _ Recovering from a spine injury was the stepping stone to my food freedom and the foundation to health. Sometimes we don’t see the opportunity in hardships. Even though this was a very hard thing to go through it taught me so much. _ Learning how to chose my actions instead of falling into blind reactions was a hard thing to do. Breaking old patterns and letting go of them took lots of work and effort. Coming to terms with the personal things that were causing my toxic relationship with food gave me the ability to see food for what it really is, my ally! _ To me, I have gained far more than just a lean body and abs, I am happy, I am healthy, I’m recovered, strong, confident, and at peace. Being able to enjoy my b-day cake, pizza, pasta, tacos and a margarita has been amazing!...But what makes all this far more amazing is the memories I created with the people I love! ❤️😊

It’s simple really. I take care of myself - by eating well and getting 8 hours of sleep a night. By taking care of myself, I feel good and have lots of energy to be able to take care of my family. One of my go-to superfoods is hemp. Double the amount of protein as chia or flax, and only half the carbs. Hemp is a delicious way to get plant-based proteins & omegas. It has the capacity to self heal, love, surrender, forgive and be beckon of light to the world 🌎 💫. This practice began here, I look in the mirror and see a different woman than who first walked through these doors. I’ve met some of my best friends, my mentor, my self, my soul and seen the depths of my heart and how incredibly beautiful it is. With a practice of yoga and meditation I have cultivated an awareness to become who I was called to be. I fell in love with life. I found my purpose, my strength, my will to travel the world, ALONE, to choose love more than fear. To to wake up daily and choose to show up for myself first, to feel an infinite source of love to begin to unravel the false walls I built to protect me. . . Not easy. Ever. I had/have a lot to recover from. It’s a daily surrender. Softening the tension. Breathing to release...Trauma. Pain. Abuse. Its challenging like recovering from my brain surgeries was but so rewarding. To look at these things and choose to forgive and own my part. To do different and know if I fuck up I get to choose and try again. Grace. The world will test you. People will hurt you but when you pause and see everything is either a blessing or a lesson you begin to open up your heart to heal. You get to choose who and what you give you power to.
