Nothing beats a good book on an overcast Saturday. I’ve been reading this book ‘ Let your Mind Run’ a memoir of an Olympian female athlete and I can’t put it down. It’s such a great read. More importantly the book shows how small talent plays a part in becoming a true Olympian! It’s about the mind. You can burn out and loose no matter how genetically gifted you are, unless you condition your mind.
We often think that mental health is a given, that we only need to train our bodies but that’s not the case at all. I loved how this book shows that you need to train your mind, to expand and stretch and exercise it just as you would your body. To feed it with hope and inspiration and to teach it patience and endurance.

-I didn’t have the greatest workout, but I was at animal kingdom this morning at 7:30am so I’m not too upset about the lack of energy!
