One little decision I made over six years ago to start taking better care of my health, so I could feel more like myself again after giving birth to this not so little girl anymore sure did bring me so many surprises.
At the time I was a 4th grade teacher. I wanted to be a teacher most of my life and planned on being one for 30+ years. In the process of taking care of myself, I fell in love with helping others do the same...showing and TEACHING people what was possible...through fitness, nutrition, personal development, and business. It was an amazing SIDE GIG.
But something happened. My eyes were opened to the potential and what hard work on my end could do for me and for my family. I also saw a crystal clear picture of the vision I wanted for my family...one I never intended to have because I was a teacher and planned on being one for a long time. But when I realized I could still teach, be that bus stop mom, volunteer in school, contribute financially to my family, and have a fulfilling career, I knew I wanted to make that vision come alive. Head down and off to work.
This week we will officially have a 4th and 2nd grader...ironically both grades I taught for 10 years!! I’m so excited for them to have another amazing school year! And I’m so grateful to be home, teaching, and pursuing a career centered around health! I’m so grateful I had the OPTION to take my work home. The freedom and flexibility our family has is priceless!
Coaching continues to bring me so much joy and life every single day. Whether it’s been part-time or full-time, I will never, ever regret the decision to saying YES to something that has improved our lives in so many ways.💕
This weekend was definitely for the books. We started off our girls trip with 3 H⚡️GH Fitness instructors and ended it with 5!!!
I love this group of ladies so much. I can say we were all pretty close before, but this trip brought all of us so much closer. A lot of tears (tears from laughing so hard), hugs, dancing, walking, eating so much till we were all sick, staying up all hours, and passing out the moment our heads hit the pillows.
I will keep saying how grateful I am for the H⚡️GH community and all that @high.fitness stands for. It is not just about the AWESOME workout, it is sooo much MORE!!! It is people that all come together every shape, every size, every age (young, old, or somewhere in between), you name it, to feel and taste what this H⚡️GH community is all about. It is about uplifting one another, supporting one another, encouraging one another, listening to one another, laughing at one another, crying for one another, help filling one’s cup when one is running low, the list goes on and on about what the H⚡️GH community is really about. You really can’t put it all down because it just goes on and on!
I am so beyond happy and proud of @ayerim02 and @yurkokatie for choosing to become instructors and making the choice to spread the H⚡️GH love even more. To once see them as participants in my classes to becoming instructors is a truly incredible feeling. I can’t wait to see the H⚡️GH community grow even more through them, with all the lives they are going to touch.
Thank you @wyatt.kelli, @highfit_bandanachick, @yurkokatie, and @ayerim02 for the AMAZING weekend. I love you all so much. I hope you all know how much you all mean to me. Thank you @highfitnessemily and @goldiehighfitness for what you have created. No one, I mean no one, could have done what you two have. You are inspirations to us all. ❤️❤️❤️
This is my favorite photo from our wedding. I envisioned this photo in my mind for months, mostly because of what it symbolizes - the blending of a family. It took a lot to get to this photo, and I do not just mean in the planning of a wedding. It is about WAY more than that to me, to us. I LOVE these humans with all my being, including the one on the cross behind us. He has supported all our endeavors in becoming a family and He is our true rock. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, my family. 🙏💗✝️
