Hey it's been a while since I took and share any photos of our surroundings. All those overwhelming emotions through the year and last year engulfed all those interests to appreciate what's around me, let alone sharing it.
So here's a contrasting aluminum cladded tower and a brutal post modern concrete one with sunshading. Trying to get back at doing better at things I used to do.
So, everyone seems to have given up on the July photo-challenge, & I’ve completed 1/2 of it, so I’m not ready to stop just yet. But this rosé is too cute not to post. Plus, I can still relate it to today’s challenge. Because I’m at the oldest & most adorably intimate theater in St. Louis seeing Yesterday, & all of my favorite books remind me of some of my favorite yesterdays: To Kill a Mockingbird reminds me of high school & The Alchemist reminds me of first moving to St. Louis & A Moveable Feast reminds me of Paris. So there you have it. Cheers to sweet memories of lovely yesterdays (& to this tiny rosé ). 🥂 Day 18. Fave book. What’s your fave (book or drink or both)?

𝒾𝒻 𝑜𝓃𝓁𝓎 𝓌𝑒 𝒸𝑜𝓊𝓁𝒹 𝓈𝑒𝑒 𝑜𝓊𝓇𝓈𝑒𝓁𝓋𝑒𝓈 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓌𝒶𝓎 𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝓈𝒾𝓈𝓉𝑒𝓇𝓈 𝓈𝑒𝑒 𝓊𝓈... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The other day my dear friend asked me to describe her in five words. It was easy. Then she described me. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
She told me that there would be no other way to describe me. That no other words would do. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We reflected on how easy it is for us to see each other’s beauty and strengths but how difficult it can be to see our own. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our inner dialogue can be so hard, so damming, so cynical.
It yells out our flaws, our hardships, our traumas, our failures. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Only sometimes does it see our beauty. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve come to realized on my journey of womanhood that who we are to the world is so much more beautiful than who we are to ourselves. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The joy we bring others.
The love that we share.
The meaning that we bring. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our lives are blessings to the world yet so many of us feel like burdens... but how beautiful would life be if we saw each other the way our sisters do? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As we travel on our road of life let us remember that there’s more to us than what we see.
Let us remember that we are beings of light with only moments of darkness.
Let us remember to be strong women, inspire strong women, raise strong women, and love all women. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Give yourself the permission to see yourself in the light of those who love you. Embrace what they see 💖
Who are some of your #soulsisters ? 👇🏼 @tia.rose.24 @caitlinlassy@jess_yoga@margaretkellyyoga ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Instagram isn’t what it used to be.⠀
This algorithm can be so frustrating, sometimes making me wonder why I even keep posting.⠀
Blogging isn’t even the same anymore.⠀
But when I stop and wonder why it bothers me so much, pride always is a huge reason. Yes, the loss of impact is a big reason. However, not getting as many likes or page views is definitely a pride issue for me.⠀
But I don’t want to use Jesus to make my name famous.⠀
I don’t want to use this platform that He’s given me to become well-known.⠀
I want to serve Him and you all with the words He’s given me.⠀
I’ve been reading Philippians lately, and chapter 2 talks about how humble Jesus was to become a man (a baby no less), live among sinners, and die a humiliating death.⠀
If Jesus was humble and became a servant, I’m pretty sure I need to be humble and be a servant. ⠀
Even when I don’t get as many likes or views as I’d like 💙
this is 100% #realtalk from today! the only thing we can do at the end of the day is love the shit outta ourselves & keep rolling with this life thing. yes? yes.
i usually text @adamhklassen a long string of thoughts that aren't for him but are really for me & most often they end with ok i love myself 😂 but that's the magic, honestly. the loving acceptance of ourselves no. matter. what. YEP.
when i'm stressed or confused or trying to sort things out i definitely need to talk myself through it or talk to myself via adam ( #verbalprocessor), let go of a bunch of rules, & then move forward like there isn't any wrong thing (because there isn't). sometimes this process is clear, sometimes it's messy & feel-y & confusing & i don't even know which direction is up. but then i dance/sing/shake/scream/go get a coffee (one of those is not like the others but it does change the energy!) & keep trusting + moving.
do you have a funny/weird/silly process that you love for getting unstuck & moving through stuff? share with meeeeee pleaaaseeeee!
When I think about courage, I think of Wonder Woman with a cape ready to fight the bad guys threatening to take over the world!
Courage is often associated with special strong people.
People that love adventure like climbing a mountain or jumping out of a plane or diving into the deep blue sea.
But courage doesn’t have to be showy.
Courage can be silent yet persevering.
It can be waking up every morning to face another day.
It can look like being faithful with what’s in front of you even if you may not feel like you’re coming alive.
Courage can look like quiet trust that your faithfulness will be rewarded.
So whatever your life looks like today, know that your super power doesn’t need to look like chasing bad guys and saving the world.
Daring to show up in the daily grind is courageous and though you might not have your face plastered in the news like wonder woman’s newest feat, I’m here applauding your strength.
What is your silent super power? ❤️❤️
🌸Feminine, soft, & stunning @randigarrettdesign bedroom never disappoints! We’d also like to wish Randi a very Happy Birthday! 😘
In an effort to create more fun in our lives, we headed to the beach this morning! Because it’s allowed to be fun!
The past few weeks I’ve been working on being ‘in the flow’ of things, and I feel like I’ve reached a point where being in control, forcing an outcome, and continually seeking the ‘right’ answers just straight up doesn’t feel good or like myself anymore. It’s quite exhausting, and it definitely sucks the fun the right out.
But not gonna lie, it feels strange. There’s a lot resistance for sure. Maybe because we see over and over to ‘hustle harder’ and ‘get shit done’, and being busy is a badge of honor.
But as I continue to work on my mindset, I’ve realized it doesn’t have to be this way. You don’t have force yourself to do 2927363 things to get the results you’re after. You don’t have to miss out on moments with friends and family. You don’t have to feel frustrated and confused all of the time.
This is the power of thought work. What we are experiencing isn’t reality. It’s our thoughts about the world around us. They aren’t facts. They’re stories.
So why not choose to believe that this can be fun? I know that’s a lot easier said than done so start by asking yourself if it’s possible. Is it POSSIBLE for me to have fun in my business and still get the results I want?
Anything’s possible, right? 😘
Life always finds a way ✨

Anyone else stuck in a heatwave this weekend? 🥵 Stay cool ❄️
I want to create. I want to share. I want to live for the thrill and the emotion and the wonder. Even if no one else sees it or no one else cares for what I do, I’m going to do it all for me. ✊🏻 Anyone else out there feeling stuck, you can absolutely do those things. Any things. Just get to it.
