It is very disheartening to hear so many people call cannabis consumers lazy. If you look around you’ll find cannabis positive people are some of the most active on the planet. Blanket statements are damaging and help perpetuate stigma. ”Stoners” don’t sit on the couch doing nothing, a reclusive person may. They are not one in the same. We hike, we go to 5 a.m business meetings, we run companies. We are parents and teachers athletes and activists. Let’s break the stigma together.
External forces in disarray
I Pick them up,
put them in boxes,
Now I sit and pray
Organs next to flesh,
never noticed they’re the same.
now put on display.
I picked them up.
put in boxes.
I sat and I prayed.
Months ago, internal, said to myself:
Go back to your childhood,
and your troubles will fade.
Months later, external, me on this day:
Back to the place I lived in first grade.
I thought maybe I’d be so much more afraid
But the signs, I believe, are as clear as today.
Deja Vu I might say.
Organs next to flesh,
They’re all the same.
Do you have a favorite mantra? If you do. tell me what it is in the comments! I do. Mine is, 'things are always working out for me better than expected,'. I have said it so many times I completely believe it. You will be okay. It is important to know that. Working out of primal fear is not going to get you the abundance or happiness you are looking for. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

"Breath is the bridge which connects life to consciousness, which unites your body to your thoughts. Whenever your mind becomes scattered, use your breath as the means to take hold of your mind again."
– Thich Nhat Hanh
Our book recommendation for this week is The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. .
In summary, the secret delves into the law of attraction and how positive thinking can create life changing results.
Our thoughts are more powerful than we imagine and the secret talks about we can attract things based on the frequency of our thoughts and feelings.
This is definitely a must read for anyone looking something deep but relatable. .
If you've read the secret, let us know your thoughts on the book in the comments.
What do you want to know about meditation? .
I've been meditating for over 20 years and became a mindfulness based stress reduction teacher 7 years ago.
Meditation gives one a safe place to relax and release regardless of everything else going on. It will lower stress, bring you more happiness, can release physical and emotional pain, keeps you younger, and so much more.
Comment with your questions or how meditation has helped you.
I always say, "You never know when your number is up." ⠀
And it's the truth! So it is so important that you be grateful for every day you get. When I wake up in the morning I like to take time and go outside and just breath. I spend a few minutes just appreciating the day and the chance to be alive! This is something we all need to take into account.

This year, to celebrate the Summer Solstice, the genius and effervescent @mersur invited me to to frolic in the Washington Square Park Fountain. It was the easiest and most pleasurable yes I’ve ever given.
Onlookers lined the perimeter to watch us, confused at first, then captivated. Some thought we were enchanting, others that we were nuts. But as we splashed around the fountain, dancing to the melodies of a local street musician and sharing dreams and desires in sisterhood, I have never felt so alive. So unleashed. So free.
Life is too short to be embarrassed. When I think back on the too many experiences I have dulled with self-consciousness and inhibition, I feel a pang of regret and disappointment. So much time and opportunity wasted. No more.
It takes a tremendous amount of courage to live a bold and audacious life. To care more about what feels good than what other people will think. But it is easier (and so much more fun!) with a community that is devoted to living blissfully. I am so grateful to be surrounded by people who jump into fountains without a second thought. And I am committed to creating more and more experiences like this one. You in?
