It’s been a little while (due to a tiny human distraction 👶🏻💕) but there’s a NEW POST on the blog 🖊😋 This time it’s night two of our babymoon which we spent at @thehowardarms in the Cotswolds, click the link in my bio to read all about it. Beautiful rooms in a village gastro pub/B&B, I need to go back just to eat this lamb kofta again. Perfectly spiced lamb, homemade herby pitta and the red pepper salsa and tzatziki were 🤤🤤🤤
Week 29 - Kofta Pulao
I can't believe its already July and am posting the 29th week dish. As you all know I keep browsing social media too for recipes. I stumbled upon this recipe and it made my mouth water.
Week 29 - Kofta pulao. The recipe online used frozen koftas. I made this with my own concoction of vegetables and spices. For the koftas, I used potato and paneer, mixed them with spices. I added onions, peas and corn for vegetables in the pulao. I also used whole spices like bay leaves, cloves, cinnamon. I made the koftas and pulao separately. When there was 2 min left for the pulao to finish cooking, I added the koftas. That made the koftas soft in the rice but kept its shape.
The husband enjoyed it with a cup of boondi raita. He gave the following score:
A tip while making the koftas. Once you make them into roundlets, roll them in corn flour before frying, if not the koftas disintegrate in the oil.
Until the next dish!
