3D studies for the barn conversion I was telling you about last week!⠀
The client is super keen on renovating the space to increase living space for family visits and the the multiple travellers passing through the area. The existing living room in the next-door house would serve as a greeting space and also as a kitchen/ dining space with a large table for big gatherings.⠀
The barn would be transformed to have some utility areas on lower level, a cosy living space, bathroom, multi-use space for dancing, yoga and weight training, two bedrooms and a terrace on the top level. ⠀
The overall design is open plan and features a light well coming from Velux windows and a glass wall to the terrace.⠀
The original features will be retained as much as possible to keep the charm of the first use of the space.⠀
Some sketchup views here and some existing photos if you keep on scrolling left. Collaboration with @larissa_marques7 on this!⠀
Hey guys! Meet my summer intern McKenna! 🙌🏻 McKenna reached out to me a couple months ago and inquired about being my intern for the summer. I told her no 🤣. Jk, I said I wasn’t sure if I was “ready” for an intern. It’s just little ole me running around with no rhyme or reason making cute things happen. Not only did I think my business wasn’t big enough for an intern, I was afraid I wouldn’t fulfill what she needed to learn and grow as an interior architecture major. After a few emails, a phone conversation, and making a list of everything on my design plate this summer I realized I was crazy if I didn’t say yes to extra help! I also realized that having an intern will also help my business by forcing me to get organized and learn how to delegate better.
Her first day “in the field” we went to 7 stores shopping for clients. She also reminded me to buy paper towels when we were at Target 🤣. Over the last couple weeks we have done a few client installs, met with new clients, created design plans, hosted a party at my house, assembled multiple pieces of furniture (meet your new best friend, the Allen wrench) and have lifted approx 4,000 lbs of furniture and cactus 🌵. So if anyone wants to start a new project this summer, you get a 2 for 1. And yes, we will travel to LA, NYC, or Hawaii if need be 😉. #interiordesign#interiorstyling#decor
When your desk and living space blend perfectly 👌🏻 Love the contrasting hallway that leads to the kitchen and back patio.

Friday Eco-Styling Tip 🍀⠀
Reduce your heater use this winter with layers of pillows and throws complimented by curtains and floor rugs. This not only enhances a room’s appeal, but also keeps the heater off and reduces your carbon footprint!
Fun fact: I actually started out with interior design and decoration and so surfaces and textures get my heart pumping 💕 And I have to say I’m seriously loving this pale pink terrazzo 🌸🙊 From @mosaic.factory

One of my favourite - dark Alocasia, with tropical vibe of palms and fragile baldachin of Asparagus, basically, the best of ☺️ Berlin also got tropical atmosphere - sultry days, raining or stormy nights, but, that it is something I like about that city. Those rainy nights ☺️
