I feel such a huge responsibility raising a son... We have spent hours upon hours over the years talking but mostly I try to lead by example. There is no rule book & I have been far from a perfect parent. What I have been is real & open & honest about life, relationships & love. I am not a helicopter parent & I don’t sugar coat anything. We definitely don’t live in a bubble & we are free spirited & adventurous in nature. I put my son on a pedestal when he deserves it but only then. I love him but if I am ever disappointed in him I explain why.
My message to Sammy is to be respectful of others but to also be just as respectful to himself. To not be afraid and to follow his heart. To be adventurous & to have fun. To not be fearful of making mistakes because that is the only way to grow & reach our highest potential. To make sure his happiness is his first priority & that he never ever settles.
We live in a world where status & financial and material possessions represent the success of a man. Those who know me will understand that this is far from impressive to me. Sammy is a teenager & of course is impressed by these things yet deep down I hope I have instilled what truly makes a man successful.
We also live in a world where we are wanting to make everyone else happy but that isn’t our purpose. Our purpose is to be happy within ourselves... only then can my son grow up to be this type of man 💙

So for me in my meals I like to have LOTS of variety different beans, grains, potatoes, SEEDS, and NUTS (my 2 favs to add to everything) I do this to make sure I have a variety of nutrients rather then eating the same things all the time cuzzz that’s boring and variety adds for extra vitamins and nutrients that other foods may not have!!!🤪
Quinoa, lentils, chickpeas, purple sweet potato
Steamed kale, chard, spinach, onion, cilantro cooked in garlic powder
Add ons> pumpkin seeds,cashews, hummus,avocado, sauerkraut, dried beets, dried carrots, raspberries
ALSO..... had some chocolate and fruit after... gotta big sweet tooth always🤤

I asked Zoe to help specifically with my confidence at work and my lack of belief in myself to speak up in staff meetings. 🙋🏻♀️ She was amazing, and I can now confidently speak in front of many members of staff with out getting anxious and scared. 👩🏻🏫⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Dejar por 48hs la medicacion fue terrible mala idea.
Las enfermedades mentales y problemas psicológicos, son reales.
No hay que decir que todo esto es "falta de ganas de avanzar".
Las pastillas, antidepresivos y ansiolíticos, son realmente útiles... no hay necesidad de convertir todo esto en tema taboo y no hablarlo.
Admitir que hay un problema es lo primero.
Admitir que no siempre podemos solos.
Admitir que a veces está bien recurrir a un químico que nos ayude.
Admitir que todo esto, es algo que está en nuestro día a día.
Salir de acá no es solo cuestión de voluntad.
Estoy dejando de lado todo, para poder darme un poco de atención yo.
Tengo quienes me apoyan, cuidan y ayudan en mi vida.... pero también me necesito a mi.
Trabajo en pausa, la prioridad soy yo, y debo cuidarme para poder seguir y salir de esto. ----------
