Passion♐Dispassion♐Compassion PROJECTS: Synchron performance on the 21st of December 🔥✨ A passion project for me is something that changes you when you throw yourself into it. It's something no one else may value, pay you for, or fully understand. But you know. You know there are thousands of reasons why this is something good, and healing and transformative; at multiple levels- and potentially for many, many of us. So will you stay in it? Will you watch PASSION turn to DISPASSION and then COMPASSION? (And maybe back and forth a bit there too?😂)
Synchron is a passion project for me, initiated by my friend @rishirajkulk . We created two panels last weekend. This image is of the first, when I painted in response to @rishirajkulk
's incredible sound. The second one was me painting and Rishi responding with #steeltonguedrum and the #machine (coming up 💚).We will be completing this set live as a performance at @gyaanadab in Pune, on the 21st of December, 2019. Feel free to share guys 😘 💜

Anupam joined The Slade in 1971 under the tutelage of Bartholomew dos Santos. The two years that followed mark the birth of the noted printmaker and her first experience of etching on metal plate. Santos’s detailed architectural imagery and carefully graded aquatints led the impressionable artist to introduce geometrical divisions of space in her own work. Her professor, however, discovered her talent for figurative drawing, and encouraged her to incorporate this in her work.

‘The naked body with all its vulnerabilities is perhaps the most beautiful sight to behold … The male nude body perfected through physical exertion has become an important subject for me.
There is a certain intimacy one already has with the female body. After all, one nestles against one’s mother as a child. And my own body has always been a ready reference. On the other hand the male body was an object of great curiosity for me. To be able to experience the contours of the male body as one drew the musculature was an aesthetic experience to be enjoyed.’ ANUPAM SUD (2007)

JUXTAPOSITION: It’s not by fate, it’s by design...Mention every motive that glorifies you..Hide every story that describes you. Eventually there comes a time when things are bound to intertwine...And one by one we all walk the line...it’s not by fate, it’s all by design. #s_quotes
