This year has been a tough year for me, in a couple ways. Getting back into the #gym has helped me so much. It’s kind of been my therapy some days. Other days it showed me I can push harder and succeed. I’ve been consistent on my food and have stayed mostly away from alcohol. Small simple steps have helped me become a better version of myself and that’s my why. I’m not aiming for perfection. I’m aiming for progress, some balance, enjoying the small things in life and prioritizing my health. This pic is a little sassy or cute or whatever, but for me it’s looking at the definition developing in my legs (it’s not a crazy amount, but it’s starting) and actually liking what I see. I have hated my legs my whole life. 🤦🏼♀️ Here I am, almost 40 and finally accepting myself. Try this warm-up before your leg session!
▶️ & 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯’𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺.
💥You will find out why warm-ups are SO IMPORTANT!
✅Jump Rope: 3 minutes (my phone lost the recording 🙃)
✅Arm Circles - Forward and Reversed: 25 reps
✅Jumping Jacks: 30 reps
✅High-Knees: 30 reps
✅Forward Lunge: 15 reps each leg (step put further than you normally would to get a nice stretch in your hip flexors and quadriceps)
✅Reverse Lunge with knee-up: 15 reps each leg
✅Walkouts: 20 reps (I am not able to keep my legs straight while bending down so if you’re like me then don’t worry, your flexibility will improve over time!
✅Air Squats: 25 reps (phone also lost this recording)
