In Pechersk district a mother hedgehog was run over by a car and was survived by tiny hoglets. Couple of them were found, and the rescuers were called. They found one underneath concrete stairs and two were brought by good samaritans. The hedgehog family reunited with one more brother in the shelter.
Meet Horace. He reminds me very much of Herbert, the little hoglet we rescued and fostered last year. You may think that all hoggies look the same but they can have dark or light prickles and fur and Horace has very dark prickles, just like Herbert! Horace is a gift from the ever so lovely @sherry_iris and has been painted by @beardandyarn, Sherry's creative partner in their lovely yarn business. What a talented family. The kindness of many of the people I have supported on Etsy and follow on Instagram never ceases to amaze me. Thank you so much Sherry and Chris, Horace has come to a good home where he will be cherished! 😍😘 #hedgehogs#endangeredspecies#handmade#creativity#artists#art#nature#gardenwildlife
Its that time of year, here at WAF, where we have young animals arriving left right and centre!
These four young hoglets arrived after being found alone, with no sign of mum or dad. After a short time spent in one of our incubators to warm up, Maru, gave them a thorough examination along with a good dose of fluids.

This is my week 24 star hexie for the #fussycuttingsewalong2019 with @naomialicec. On travel month this is full motif, outer diamonds week. 🌟
Since I joined the fussycuttingsal doing festive hexagons leading up to Christmas 2017 I have 'met' on here so many talented, funny & kind women from the UK. I love seeing their gardens, pets, flora & fauna pics as being an Aussie transplant from NZ the lushness, countryside & some of the animals remind me of my birth home. 🌄
Over the years there have been a few talks about hedgehogs, one of my favourite snuffly critters. I adore this fabric, have a phone holder by my bed made out of it, made one as a gift for dear @kyliebuttigieg & now with the scraps made this star hexie in honour of my UK friends. 🌿
So I have just started planning the 2020 invasion of the UK by myself & cousin Chris in time for Chelsea Flower Show. I know we will be visiting Bath & hopefully some of you locals including the best Sal muma Naomi will be up to a get together & big hugs. What are the must sees in the UK while we are there in May??? Can't wait! 💃💃💃
