When you have a long history of chronic illness you soon learn how to become flexible.
I've recently had to make a big change to my feeding regime which was previously just overnight.
Now in the afternoon if I'm wanting to leave the house I just feed on the run. My specialized backpack holds everything and away I go.
Today my back and shoulder pain are quite high so I just figured I'd connect up and bring my iv stand outdoors today with me,which is usually reserved for indoors.
So I'm thoroughly enjoying the warmth of the winter sunshine and catching up on some reading.
-We Evolve not by Certainty,But Through
Uncertainty. - The fear of “not knowing” what lies ahead impedes our long term welfare. At a deeper level, fear of the future terrifies us because of the unfamiliar conditions which lie ahead. It interferes with attaining emotional freedom. To accept uncertainty in our lives requires a change in perspective. We yield to the intrinsic forces of life instead of oppose them. However uncomfortable it may seem, we surrender to the natural order of events by leaning in to our fears and insecurities.
- -We evolve by being exposed to uncertainty and confronting our fears, otherwise they dominate our mental landscape and grow in intensity. To that extreme that which we oppose must be met head on.
If you are distressed, anxious, or fearful of anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your own ideas and expectations of it it should’ve been like, and panic sets in. and this !!! This control and fear, you have to let go of! you have the power to revoke at any moment, and return to your sovereignty. -Find middle ground between living with uncertainty and maintaining a level of control, short of manipulating outcomes. Let go of tension, anxiety and fear by embracing the unknown. Consider uncertainty a worthwhile journey toward a daring future.
Uncertainty allows us to re-evaluate the past and make new choices in light of what transpires. It presents opportunities to create a compelling future based on new information. Often, our most ambitious plans emerge through the obscuring veil of uncertainty.
To know the future, we must become acquainted with our present actions while embracing uncertainty. In doing so, we move toward the unknown with firm ambition to resolve the past. “When you become comfortable with uncertainty, Infinite Possibilities open up in your life.” — Eckhart Tolle

"We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves." - The Buddha
The nature of the universe is impermanence and change. As I grow older, certain inevitabilities become more self-evident... and the knowledge that none of us can outrun our own mortality begins to come into focus. For me the Buddha's 5 Remembrances serve as a mantra and a reminder that acceptance and gratitude accompanied by integrity in our actions creates harmony and lasting peace of mind which in turn can serve as the path by which we find release from much of our sorrow. To the western mind this approach can sometimes seem like negativity but it is actually quite the opposite; stoically facing the true nature of our existence and surrendering to it is a source of great strength, balance and lasting happiness.

The King visited our home!!!!🤭🤸🏽♀️
Here’s the story. Please find pictures of our performance for the king in the next post.
When we walked into the Agaba Center to perform yesterday, a group of young ladies from some fancy Kabale school laughed & said “Yamawe mureeba abanyakyaro!” Loosely translated: “look at these villagers”. My blood boiled & my heart sank. Ready to attack them, i looked at my girls faces but they just kept on walking with their heads held high & were soon chattering & excitedly giggling away. I let it go. When I asked how they felt, they reminded me of their pasts. Some were homeless. “And look at us now!” they said. I was proud of them. A part of my heart still remained angrily sank though, on their behalf
I wonder what the same awful girls thought when they gradually realized that we were there under special invitation, the sole performers for His Royal Highness Omukama King Oyo Kabamba Iguru Rukidi V1 of Tooro Kingdom! And for the Prime Minister of Uganda #Dr Ruhakana Rugunda, the Governor of Bank of Uganda Prof Mutebile, UNAIDS Country Director Dr Karusa Kiragu & other distinguished guests! The girls danced & sang with all their might & joy. It was beautiful. And the king & all the dignitaries loved them so much, that today happened! Omukama King Oyo decided to came to our home!!! 🤭😄💃🏽🙏🏾👑 .
My goodness. He actually walked in through our gate & spent a good part of the morning getting to know about our home, Grace Villa, Kabale ☺️. This has to be the most fantastic, historical moment for our home to date. A friend heard about the visit & called a few minutes ago. He said “The girls are princesses now, dining with kings!”. I almost cried ☺️👑 .

When we are grateful for a certain thing, we attract more of that thing. Even if we don’t physically have it yet, being in a state of gratitude makes us open to receive it. Being in a vibration of gratitude prepares us for what we want and draws it closer to us.
If I feel myself going low, I just start saying, "I am grateful, I am grateful, I am grateful." I don't state what for, because as I say I am grateful, images and people begin to pop up in my mind that I am grateful for, and I feel deeply grateful for them. My gratitude
feels stronger and stronger the more I say it.
Gratitude brings forth a strong powerful vibration multiplying things.

Recovery takes courage. To change you way of thinking, attitudes and behaviours; it can be really scary!
At first you have to admit something is wrong and that there is a problem to address it. It doesn't have to have a name but you need to know what it is that is the problem.
You then need to address that problem by figuring out what needs to change. Your behaviours, actions and thoughts.
Then you need courage. You need the courage to dive into that change and sometimes you have to work really hard for it!
You are so worth recovery and love 🌹

Good morning on the start of a new week, this time - from the middle of the Baltic Sea, literally, on the way back from the Åland Islands between Finland and Sweden! With the 30th anniversary of the Baltic Way just behind us, and the long weekend spent among fellow Balts, this morning I once again reflect on the dramatic changes that our societies have gone through, and the paths that Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia have taken as independent and free democracies once again. We are blessed with what we have. It is a lot to be grateful for and a lot to cherish. A happy Monday, everyone! #balticsea#gratitude#sustainableliving
Sisters from other misters (minus one) for going on 27 years now ❤️ my heart overflows with love for these women and all of their children, whom we all call our nieces and nephews. I’m nothing short of aware and extremely grateful of how lucky I am to have such long lasting, strong, loving bonds with people I know love my kids and me unconditionally, as I do them. This year we decided we need to make more of an effort to nourish our relationships, and so our kids would learn to love each other like we do 😂 it’s working! So even though we all live a good distance from each other, we make it a priority once a month to meet up and spend the time with each other. I hated every minute of the 5 hours of driving to spend the day with them today, but it was WELL worth it! This was a crazy busy exhausting weekend full of work, love, and a whole lot of fun!! Summer don’t leave me!!!
“You’ve gotta step into the daylight & let it go.. I just think that... you are what you Love.” 🌞
Alone and part of all that is. Silent and noticed. In gratitude, thankful, blessed, contemplation. With faith comes unexpected pleasant surprise.
This afternoon was much needed and a long time dream come true. 🌞
