Let’s be honest, watching the scale going up through time is not easy for me, so many times I told myself if I should go back to cutting cus I’m still so obsessed with having abs on me. But nope, I’m gonna trust the process, keep going and I can’t wait to see what I could gain next. On the bright side, considering both weight and physique now with 2.5 months before the end of the cut, it is much better as I don’t put all the weights back on at once. So proud of how Emily is getting on. She’s achieving great thinks with her training and fat loss. Her body shape is changing all the time. Emily came with a goal of getting back to the shape she was in when she completed a marathon a couple years ago. Due to many reasons she had lost that fitness and gained weight. Emily has always had a mental busy work schedule which was almost taking over her life and led to her not making the best choices food wise and neglecting her training. She is away to start a new job and has now got herself in a position where she can life the sort of lifestyle required to reach her goals. Routine is mega important so we train at the same times and days each week and she has gotten back to her running club each week. We did photos today and seen a massive change. She is going to smash September and hopefully we will share those photos next month. Emily will be doing the half marathon on Sunday so good luck for that💪🏻. This deadlift is 80kg and is the heaviest she has done up till now. Thoughtful Thursday - Valslides Lunges⁣ ⁣ Let’s slide into some dope glutes and legs with today’s thoughtful exercise.⁣ ⁣ Have you ever tried a reverse lunge with a valslide as shown here? ⁣ ⁣ I love using these as a teaching tool to good lunge mechanics, as you are not able to put too much stress/effort in the back leg. Rather, you are forced to maintain stability, and strength through the plant leg throughout this movement (which is the way i believe a reverse lunge should be!) Your quad and glute on the plant leg should be simmering by the end of this one.⁣ ⁣ Try these next time instead of whatever lunge variation you’ve been doing. Add weights by either holding DBs to your side, or in a goblet position. Make sure you hammer the technique before you go too heavy in weightload!⁣

It has taken consistent exercise, a healthy nutrition plan that I have turned into a lifestyle (you know, 80% of the time cuz this girl loves me some cake), tons of personal development to get my mindset straight, a morning routine of goal setting and gratitude in my journal, and surrounding myself with a group of like-minded people. ⠀ ⠀ So what has all of this gotten me? These moments are so precious ✨ . Little man is growing up fast and now that he has the all clear from his doctor, he'll be back at school soon. . I feel bittersweet about that. I am beyond thrilled that he is healthier and back to being the chatty and hilarious little fella he usually is, but I will also miss all the cuddles i've had in recent months and just time together. That is being a parent in a nutshell! . So we made sure we got in some fun today around clothes shopping for him (that growing thing) and some well overdue mummy maintenance 💁lol. . I'm fairly certain I embarassed him with my need for extra cuddles today and countless photos of his new haircut, but that's my job, right? . We have a meeting at his new school tomorrow to kickstart enrolment. We're both a bit excited. Wish us luck! x
