Tonight we’re talking about GRAPES! It’s a well known fact that whole grapes are a dangerous choking hazard for babies, toddlers and young children!
The size and shape of grapes means that they can completely plug a child's airway. The tight seal produced by the grape's smooth surface makes them difficult to dislodge with standard first aid techniques.
Young children are particularly vulnerable to choking on a grape because:
• They don't have a full set of teeth and are still learning to chew properly.
• Their swallow reflex is still developing.
• Their airway is very small.
This handy image shows just how to slice them so that they are safe to eat - slice in half lengthways and ideally into quarters. NEVER in half widthways!
Same goes for sausages, olives, cherry tomatoes and large blueberries.

In an effort to drink less Diet Coke, I’ve been trying out different flavored waters. This Sanpellegrino flavored water is by far the best I’ve tried! It’s not calorie-free, but at 35 calories a can, it’s definitely not a belt-buster! I love that the little bit of sweetener enhances the flavor and satisfies my sugar cravings. The lack of flavor has been the challenge with La Croix for me. On the other hand with Diet Coke, I get huge sugar cravings, but going from full syrup drinks to nothing is really hard. I’m somewhere new almost every week!
✨I recently went to Shanghai, China to visit a friend. This was a personal vacation that I planned out months before & I had an amazing time!
😋I planned on eating and drinking whatever I wanted and if I missed a day at the gym, I didn’t stress.
I was there to enjoy myself and take a break from life 🎉
BUT THAT ISN'T ALWAYS THE CASE
‼️Tomorrow, I’m headed to Houston, Texas on a work trip for 1 WEEK‼️
This is the longest I’ve ever traveled for a work related trip.
I’m going into this trip with a PLAN to work hard at my job while staying on top of my fitness goals 💪🏻
I’m not there to “party” & “ruin my diet”. I’m there to get SHIZ DONE 😎
I realistically can’t meal prep a weeks worth of food...I’m not on prep either so it’s not 100% necessarily...
So here’s a few things I’m going to do while away:
✅ INTERMITTENT FASTING: I’ve been following this eating protocol. Pushing my first meal to noon helps reduce hunger pains & helps me not over eat.
✅ MAKE SMART FOOD CHOICES: chances are, I won’t have a kitchen this week. So I’m going to be eating out quite a lot. I’m going to make smart choices. Protein dominant meals and lots of veggies will be my go to! I also will have @bsnsupplements protein powder on me to make sure I hit protein goals.
✅ EXERCISE: hotel gym? No problem. Even with limited equipment I can make the most out of any workout situation. I also pre-plan and research which gyms are around me. If I have time, I’m gonna try and hit the famous @officialalphaletegym!
✅ WORK HARD: I’m here to work. Career comes first, that’s how my mindset works. So if I miss a day from the gym or miss a meal, I try not to sweat the small stuff. I’m in my off season right now & can afford a little wiggle room with my diet/exercise. I just choose to make what’s important the priority! And you should to.

1 y 1/2 taza de leche descremada
4 cdas de maicena
3/4 taza de harina (la que uses)
Batir bien y cocinar en sartén vuelta y vuelta
1 morrón colorado
4 cdas de choclo
1 atado de acelga (solo la hoja, las pencas las voy a reservar para otra elaboración).
2/3 taza de ricota magra o 3 cdas soperas de queso untable.
👨🍳Saltear la cebolla y el morrón picados, agregar la espinaca hasta que se evapore el agua. 👨🍳Retirar del fuego y agregar la ricota. Salpimentar.
👨🍳Rellenar los panqueques y colocar en fuente para horno con una base d e salsa de tomate (use unos tomates medios blanditos, hervor rapidito y salió salsita suave).
Por encima mas salsa y podes agregarle salsa blanca 👇🏻
1 taza de leche descremada
3 cdas de maicena
Sal, pimienta y nuez moscada
Cocinar todo a fuego bajo hasta que tome consistencia.
Al horno o micro hasta que se calienten!
