Is this what your desk looks like?
This definitely was the case for me for a long time. And it shouldn’t come as a surprise that this is overwhelming af!
Having to look at the entirety of the work ahead of you, will keep your mind from focusing on your current task. Guilt will gradually build up: Why am I not working on all of these things right now? Why am I not getting to the bottom of this pile?
It should be obvious to our brains, that we can only tackle one task at a time woth full concentration and dedication. When there’s only one task in front of us, that’s usually the case.
But when we physically expose our brains to a variety of “priorities”, it naturally gets confused! Which one should it care about?
Curate your environment! Your mind is as scattered as your workspace is. Don’t clutter it with tasks that you are not yet ready to tackle.
PS: Guilt is a low vibe energy. The more guilt you experience for the work you haven’t done yet, the less work you’ll actually get done! .
