You can also modify this if you can’t hold the plank and progress this to make it alittle more difficult by maybe adding a bosu ball to place your hands on, to create even more focus towards core stability! ⁣ ⁣ Do you incorporate the trx bands into your routine? ⁣ @trxtraining You can literally do a full body workout using these bands and can be super affective!! I also make to follow the 80/20 method. Here’s what a recent article I read says about this method —-> To follow the 80/20 rule, you eat a "clean" diet 80 percent of the time and then allow yourself to enjoy a few indulgences 20 percent of the time. For many people, this means they eat well during the week and relax a bit on the weekend. The plan allows you to enjoy indulgences on a regular basis without the kind of guilt people often feel when they “cheat” on a strict food plan. . . . Don’t just expect to see the changes if you’re working out, but still not fueling your body with the correct nutrition. . . . Also be sure to get enough protein in your daily diet! I myself love to make protein shakes after a good workout! . . . Feel free to jump in and join my health & fitness accountability group! Taken at his wedding roughly 7 years ago - 1 1/2 years starting in 2016 to lose 80 lbs, training 5 to 6 days per week, plus another year dedicated to refining it through a year long fitness transformation challenge called #chiseled365. I endured mood swings, ligament strains and back spasms, bronchitis, people ridiculing me behind my back, as well as having my stitches rip open on my back after getting a cyst removed. I went to the hospital the night they ripped open so I could go back to the gym to complete the year long challenge. My original plan was to see if I could do fitness modelling, and then leverage that into acting in action type films. Not how it unfolded though! Going through all of this made me understand the importance of being able to do this for others, and to have a positive impact on their quality of life - mentally, emotionally and physically. The result isn’t what matters to me. It’s the person I am now that counts to me for something. My resolve is something that no one will ever be able to take away from me.

Glucose is the main source of #energy for the brain and muscles.⠀ Our bodies actually need carbohydrates because they provide us with energy. However, not all carbohydrates are the same. Consuming too many processed carbs is not good for your health since they don't support optimal brain function or weight loss efforts.⠀ ⠀ • WHAT ARE THE BEST TYPES OF CARBS?⠀ ⠀ • Those that are complex in nature, called #complexcarbs. Barbell Squats! Love these bad boys ❤ Form tips: 👉Do not add load until your form is perfected. This exercise in particular has a huge potential to cause injury IF performed without correct form and under load. 👉Sit your butt right back as you would if aiming for a seat to sit on. Some people sit forward and their knees trace forward. Avoid this. 👉Keep the weight in your heels. Press the floor away with your heels. If you are digging your toes into the floor, the load is moving forward and that's enabling bad form. 👉Aim for depth - atleast parallel to floor. If you can't get that low due to lack of strength to get back up- lower the weight. If you can't get that low due to injury/limitations/flexibility etc, forget this exercise all together. There are other squat variations that will work better for you. 👉If you are going so low that your heels can't stay stuck to floor, you have a flexibility problem through hamstrings and/or ankles. You will need to work on that! 👉Keep back straight. Think chest up, hips down, creating a straight diagonal line from top of spine to tail bone. 👉Push your knees out. Avoud buckling at the knees. 👉Think your way through the form as you go through the movement until it comes naturally, and even then, still think about it! As I have mentioned before, mind-to-muscle connection is where it's all at 👌

Today I felt very strong in the gym. The reason being that last week was generally good week for me. It's amazing how mindset can impact your physical ability. • When someone says "I'm sad", it doesn't actually mean that they are sad but rather they are DOING sad. Same with any other emotion. I think it was Tony Robins who said that motion creates emotion. • Think about it, why do you feel so much better when you come out of the gym after a killer workout? It's because you were in motion and moving around heavy sh**. That's the whole point! • Especially if you're a guy on chest days you feel like freaking superman afterwards, don't you? Because your chest is pumped, that's why you stick it out and walk like you own the f**king world. • If you are already in a good mood, the quality of the workout is quite noticeable. For me personally, it makes a difference of 20 pounds in the weight I use on the bar. • So get moving 💪🏼 Not only is sitting around the disease (not only physically, but mentally as well), but moving around is the damn cure! • Now it's your turn. Go crush your next workout.
