Despite long and sometimes lonely nights, holidays and birthdays apart, stressful calls, a sad and scary media driven world and any other hard & messy times that come with being a law enforcement family I will stand behind my officer and our love for one another keeps us stronger than ever. .
We have to cling to the positive keeping our relationship and love the center focus of our lives. Walk away from the negative and toxic as best as we can. Find strength in the little things in life and make a promise to invest in our marriages. 🖤💙🖤
Coming to #Kickstarter – soon! Prevail Cards ( @prevailcard) – a new brand of playing cards with a social statement. The “Prevail Card” was original designed to replace the “trump card” in card games – and has transformed into something much bigger. The back has been specially designed to reflect our message of acceptance and equality (see design notes on our web page www.prevailcard.com). Additionally specific Prevail Cards have been created to represent many of the groups of people facing challenges to find respect and acceptance today, including the five cards included here. 10% of the revenue for each card will donated to non-profits supporting that community.
2. Mexican and Latin Cultures
3. African Americans
4. Native Americans
5. Military, First Responders – and their families
Our intent is to make these cards one of the largest brands of cards in the world – and in doing so to create millions of conversations about respect, acceptance and equality. We need your help to do so – please follow @prevailcard to know when our Kickstarter campaign begins.
I saw you today. You said hello while I was working and introduced yourself to me. I haven’t forgotten the night we first met. I saw you today. You were happy and smiling, and enjoying the day with your family. I haven’t forgotten the night you held my hand and asked me not to leave you. I saw you today. You showed me your new tattoo. It covers your scars from when you had surgery on your wrist. I haven’t forgotten the night you almost took your own life. I saw you today. You have no recollection of who I am, but I haven’t forgotten you. I’m glad I saw you today. #firstresponder#officer#police#thinblueline#newbeginning#imhappyforyou#nicetomeetyou#again
This image will never go away. sums it up perfectly. They are burned into our memories to carry to the grave. We walk around the streets and serves as a constant reminder of the tragedy we have seen. That being said, there is hope. The human body and mind a resilient when nurtured. Finding your tribe, that group of people you love to be around, is the first step toward finding balance again. Giving your life purpose is the second. Having a reason to get up in the morning, making a vow to eat clean food and exercise will prime the body and help flush out the hormones contributing to depression. I wish my head could forget the things my eyes have seen. #EmergencyMedicalResponceVolunteers#FirstResponder#EmergencyMedicalService
