A shot captured during our recent trip to Liverpool.
Ol has really found his identity in the last year or so with his developing love of music. He's become a fantastic guitarist as well as learning the drums and piano. He absolutely loved soaking up the musical heritage of Liverpool. We took the boys round The Beatles story and as we hit the café this piano sat proudly with a sign inviting all to play it. He leapt straight on to give us a tune. It's such a joy to see him in his element.

How much do you love bee's? 💖 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝 I dunno if you know that me and Mario actually live with another couple and their two children. Lindsey has been my best friend for over 25 years and when we came back from travelling in 2012 we both fell pregnant whilst living together in our little flat in Birmingham. As a way to save money we decided to all get a big house together, initially so we could each save for a deposit to buy our own houses. Well six years later we are all still together, it has its pro's and con's but I love our disfunctional family we have created and the kids absolutely adore each other, well most of the time 😂😂 we are actually going our seperate ways in a few months which is gonna be sad times 😭😭 but at the same time we really need more room with the new baby and as the kids are growing and I also need a space for a workshop. I'm gonna miss Lindsey so much though, and I'm also gonna miss her green fingers. She planted these flowers in the hopes of attracting bee's to our garden and look she succeeded ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Her camera on her phone also takes the best photos ever look 🐝🐝🐝🐝 #bees#welovebees#family#familylove#friendship#bumblebee#saveourbees#littlesilverstar#ladysmith#silversmith#silversmithy#riojeweler#silverjewellery#statementjewellery#designermaker#girlboss#handmadejewellery#handmadewithloveandstars#lssforever
It appears to be easy to sweep stuff under the carpet, or stuff it down or in any other way ignore it 🤔
Those strategies work only temporarily 😯
Suppressed stuff tends to come back up 🤷
Sometimes chewing through the heavy stuff is the only way to get rid of it for good 🐛🐛🐛🐛🐛🐛🐛🐛🐛🐛🐛🐛🐛🐛🦋 Need some support with this? Drop 'me' below and I'll be in touch with some information 💚
We attempted a day trip yesterday. For lots of reasons. Life has been far from normal this past 8 weeks with falls, crutches, pain, two cycles of horrendous tummy bugs, hospital admissions, scary diagnosis looming, a very ill husband, pregnancy progressing, home education continuing, infections hitting and migraines (stress induced, funny that huh?!)
We've been hunkering down, closing ranks between ourselves and holding our bundle together and trying to prioritise rest whilst simultaneously trying to build up strength and stamina. But it's never easy when your brain and body don't match and the brain wants to do more than a body is able.
It's been a season where I've carried it all whilst being far from full strength myself, and Aaron has had his first real episode of being properly ill since I met him 17yrs ago. He's not your stereotype typical man when he's sick. He's a great patient (bar having to be stopped from returning to work far too early!) He's still wanting to do what he can (even when he can't or, certainly shouldn't even be trying), and contribute when he can and I know its been a bit of a harsh learning journey, but, he's hopefully at the point of heading back to work very soon.
We've had home ed things that continue over the summer, so we don't negotiate on attendance at these. If they're booked in, we go, and they become our 'one thing today' that we do.
But yesterday was his energy test! It was two long drives, lots of walking, bracing the elements and it was just what we needed and went so well! There's nothing like getting battered by the wind and relentless rain to really blow away the cobwebs!
We've one more home ed activity tomorrow, a birthday party on Sunday but bar that, we plan a zero activity Saturday to rest and recoup!
