Benefits of a good night sleep 😴 I’m sure you’ve heard a thousand times that we need around 8 hours of beauty sleep but what are the benefits? * Sleep can reduce stress and help to improve your memory * Sleep can lower your blood pressure and help reduce your risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease * It helps improves your immune system which is important during flu season * It can help maintain your weight and if you’re training in the gym a lot it helps to repair and recover your body * It also puts you in a better mood, Who’s grumpy when They’re tired?🙋🏾‍♀️ . Here are my other top tips for a good nights sleep: * Get yourself in a routine, try to go to bed and wake up at a similar time each day * Ditch any blue light (tv, phones, iPad) 2 hours before bed, it can really affect your sleep (you can get apps which block blue light on your phone) * Don’t drink caffeine late on in the day, 3pm cut off🕒 * Check your bedroom environment, make sure the temperature and noise are comfortable (as well as your bed/pillows) * Exercise regularly but not before bed as it stimulates hormones which increases alertness * Relax and clear your mind before bed, I take a hot shower and use prayer time.
