Trek, camp, eat, sleep, and repeat..through my experiences in the treking and exploring Bhutanese wilderness, I believe that everyone should go for a trekking atleast once in a lifetime. I trek not only to get pictures but its an immense source of inspiration and we learn a lot. Worth spending time outdoors and camping under the vast sky surrounded with wild beauties. And so many benefits too. Trekking is not only walking for hours and resting but we learn so many new things as well. Trekking in remote places can teach us things that are paramount in our life. I believe its a healthy lifestyle and self healing. Explore more and start your adventure now. Peace & love to all.
Do we really need more reports, documentaries, or articles to inspire people to find a cause worth fighting for? There are so many cool things you can do to promote something you believe in:
• Join an animal rights organization like DxE, AV, or The Save Movement
• Put up stickers exposing modern day slavery or not-so-nice corporations
• Pick up trash when you’re out and about (this always gets other people inspired to do the same)
• Write an environmentalist chant!!
• Write a cookbook with the environmental footprint of different recipes
• Move the @oatly in front of the dairy-based milk in the supermarket
• Talk to others about a cause you’re passionate about
• Make a short film
• Mobilize for a fast fashion demonstration outside your local clothing store
• Hand out flyers
• Talk with people about climate change on Instagram (but don’t be rude)
• Ask for more plant-based alternatives in your local grocery store
• Show off your secondhand outfits
Often when I’m out doing activism and talking with people they will say stuff like “Why aren’t you talking about ____?”, “This isn’t as bad as ____.”, or “You should be promoting ____ instead!”
Why aren’t YOU?! There is no excuse for not speaking up about the causes you feel passionate about. How do you contribute towards a better world?
A few weeks ago we shared a post to help highlight why there are areas in West Dunbartonshire that are being left to grow wild. These wildflower areas are there to help encourage biodiversity. I remember the Council coming under fire possibly because the reasons behind the decision weren’t communicated to local people properly. Therefore, many people, me included, put it down to yet more budget cuts.
As an individual, I have become more and more interested in the natural world. I believe that making more conscious choices can be influenced by our appreciation of the fact that we are part of a delicate equilibrium rather than being ‘above’ it. 💙💚💙
We’re in the middle of the sixth mass extinction. Thousands of species are under threat as a result of human behaviours. And we’d like to give a little contribution to helping in our area.
The Council have given the ok to us having these adorable signs made and put up in a few of he wildflower areas in West Dunbartonshire. They have been designed by a fantastic woman, Leigh, and will be made from upcycled materials. We’ll then be asking kids in the local area to paint onto them something along the lines of, “This is a wildflower area to encourage biodiversity. These signs have been donated to the people of *area* to bring us all closer to nature.”
They are £200 for 5 and leaves us £45 in our little pot of money from last year’s @lushbraehead Charity Pot weekend. This will be used to buy materials to paint and varnish the signs. We’ll keep you posted on progress.

Did you know that bamboo naturally repels odors and allergens!
From a bug’s point of view, bamboo looks more like a huge “No Vacancy” sign posted on an impenetrable wall. Cariloha fabrics, made of viscose from bamboo, don’t use harsh chemicals or pesticides and can help prevent skin irritations that can flare up with other chemically treated fabrics.
Isn’t this just incredible?
Please cerebrate with us #worldbambooday with our offer of 25% off storewide through Sunday, Sep 22nd.

Our animal of the day is our religious fellow ,the Praying Mantis (Mantis religiosa). The Mantis was named after its front legs which are folded to resemble a prayer posture.
