We have an emergency and need your help! 🙌 Cymba our eldest Furiend whose fifteen amazing year's old is in pain and discomfort after he somehow managed to do severe damage to a large molar tooth and has cracked at least two other's. We're unsure if happened when he stole a large dreambone from Malta and hid to chew it or if it's just wear and tear from aging. Either way we discovered it Tuesday when we noticed he was making a weird chewing type motion without eating. We looked and one is loose, cracked and hanging there which is bothersome, painful and like the two cracked one's subject to infection. Having dental pain is awful and it's now effecting his ability to eat, even softened food is bothersome. Although he's fifteen he's pretty healthy and we need to get these dental issues taken care of while he's still able to be put under anesthesia. You guy's know his son Truk is fighting our fourth fight against canine cancer in the past two year's and we just lost Spock in January after fighting a rare heart cancer called a chemodectoma. Because of those fight's and other health issue's we've lost everything financially and have no available credit left. We're fighting against time and he's uncomfortable and in pain although you'd never be able to tell it by looking at him. He carries on acting his happy and carefree self. Dog's are too good at masking pain and that's terrifying. I wish they could tell us when something was bothering them. It's embarrassing for us to be asking for help with this but personally knowing how terrible tooth pain is we're desperate to provide him relief. At fifteen his health could begin to decline any moment, then he'll be unable to be put under anesthesia and he'll have to deal with this for the rest of his life. We can't let that happen. Would you please consider sharing or donating to his campaign. I'm going to link it in our bio He's currently on med's to help him until he get's the surgery done. .
As we all know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and the fund raising for our Barbells for Boobs campaign has already begun! Breast cancer is one of those things that affects everyone in one way or another whether it be yourself, a family member, friend, friend of a friend, etc who has or is battling it and this is why at Alameda CrossFit we choose this campaign for our biggest outreach program. Not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to have regular screenings for early detection and that's one thing this program raises money for. A donation of $120 supports ONE person through the program: Right to Know & Resources After Diagnosis. If this is a cause that means something to you, please feel free to join our Alameda CrossFit fund raising team. If you feel so inclined to donate, the link to my page is in my bio. As a team, we have a goal of $4000. Last year I was able to hit over $1000 on my own so let’s better that this year! If we hit that goal, an anonymous donor has agreed to MATCH IT! Any amount helps get us to that goal and it is greatly appreciated! Thank you for your support! .
(would love as many people to see this as possible. Please share if you feel comfortable with doing so) *link in the comments
Drayk and the football boys had a special guest at their weekly team pasta dinner a few Thursdays ago.
Brittany and Drayk were both there to hear a young lady named Katie Crandol speak. She was a 59er and from The Region just like all of them. Her sophomore year she was diagnosed with pediatric brain cancer. She fought it and beat it. 👊🏻🙌🏻 Sadly, she announced in front of the team that it has come back. She recently had surgery again and is in a fight to kick cancers butt again. #onemoreround
We are raising money to help “Cure the Kids” and are excited to present what we earn at our vs Cancer game tomorrow against Hobart.

International assistance continues to arrive after Hurricane Dorian, but the people of the Bahamas fear they will soon be forgotten by the world. Our partner, Convoy of Hope is planning a long-term response to keep that from happening. Will you help? : https://www.erdo.ca/hurricane-dorian

When you give to support @cape_abilities , you help provide community opportunities that not only benefit our participants therapeutically, but also create memorable engagement experiences that last a lifetime. "I never went sailing before, so it was amazing," said Anthony (below, red shirt), who was recently treated to a day on the sea by our community partners at @sailcapecod , Hyannis. Although his mobility is dependent on his wheelchair, Anthony is able to participate in Sail CC's Sealegs Adaptive Sailing program. Sail CC instructors Patrick , Alison and Lilly met Anthony on the docks and carefully transferred him to their sailboat via a portable Hoyer personal lift. Once secured, the group motored out of the inner harbor, hoisted the sails, and ventured on Lewis Bay for two, sun-filled hours! "I had such a great time," Anthony beamed. "I feel great knowing I can do anything with anyone's help." It's your generosity that helps make special moments like this occur. YOU are helping us change the lives of more than 400 individuals with disabilities we serve every day across Cape Cod. THANK YOU - we simply can’t do what we do without you.
Thank you for supporting our mission! Thanks to you, we've hit our matching fund goal sponsored by AccessBank Texas!! Let's keep the momentum going! Every donation of $25 or more is eligible for bonus funds and prizes through Communities Foundation of Texas.

This is the talented senior prestige marimba band at the Dominican School for the Deaf. Playing music is not an activity that is restricted to hearing people only, which our Marimba Hubs at special needs schools have proven. Education Africa's Hub at the Dominican School for the Deaf started as one band but marimbas became so popular they now have multiple bands! Playing music has boosted their confidence and they have played at many public events and we are very proud of them and all they have achieved.
Today in Rippon, almost all of the housing sides were finished being put up and all of the doorways were measured. We also were able to finish putting all of the children in school, coming to a total of 22 additional children we have put in school for the final term of the year (children who lost everything as well as a few children of those who have stopped working completely to help oversee the rebuild). Their parents paid for the first two terms and if we didn’t step in to cover the costs of the final term, everything they paid for previously in the year would be for nothing because the school year wouldn’t count. Tomorrow we will go get all of the wood for 13 doors to be made so we can finish the homes for the 39 people that have lost everything. We were asked today if we would be putting cement down on the floors of these homes so there would be an actual floor instead of dirt. This is going to be dependent on whether we have enough donations come in to cover the costs. Thank you to everyone who has donated towards this massive undertaking so far! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
