Today I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Bec,George & Nick from #nicksplace@becandgeorge .They undertook a mammoth task of making two townhouses out of ONE house, without knocking it down🤯. As George tells me, not alot of architects wanted to touch this project due to its complexity, but one did... And boy, it's come up an absolute treat. What an amazing team they all were to have ONE house, ONE vision & to execute two architecturally stunning townhouses. You can see this was no easy task, but when your professionals, I guess anything is possible. Bec, you have an incredible eye for detail & to think you executed this with two babies in tow is a testament to you & a phenomenal representation of us mothers of today whom juggle many balls into the air to also provide for our families & be 'present' for our babies👊🏼. Thanks for sharing your hard work with us today. I for one was blown away. Well done 🙌 @haberles - amazing work... I'll call you next week. 🙏🏼 #nicksplace#greenkitchenmyfav#designers#designerinspiration#designtrends#furnituretrends#colour#metallics#colour#worldofdesign#residential#creative#decor#designgoals#futuretrends#melbourne#australia
El Camerino, a theatrical place in Valencia, Spain, by Bodegon Cabinet Architects
Camerino is the Spanish word to refer to the backstage dressing-room in any theatre.
With attention to all details and textures, the restaurant presents statement pieces such as the small terrazzo bar handcrafted by Huguet Mallorca or the color scheme that features well-balanced blues and theatre inspired burgundy.
The two rooms of the place separated by a curtain are named La Escena (the stage) and El Camerino (the backstage).
Sugar Photography by Scope Design, reminding us of childhood, Xiamen, China
This fairytale space filled with pastel colours is a gateway to the world of children.
The fantastic land opens as soon as we get to the reception desk, reminding us of a macaroon cake. Reception space is flooded by milky walls, clouds and glowing lights. There’s an invasion of graphic elements that combine acrylic transparent materials and LED strips.
The corridor is white, bright and dynamic. Yellow bubbles are blown by white figurines. The design concept relies on the power of colour to make things feel dynamic. The Sugar Photography design space spreads over 600 square meters and they are all dedicated to childhood
Many times in life’s journey I have found myself questioning the “Purpose” of Life.
I suppose we all do. It is at such times that I find Gandhiji’s most powerful words ring true – “Find Purpose. The means will follow”.
A message to all Humanity. My thoughts as a Designer, as an Entrepreneur and as a Human Being have all been shaped by these very simple and yet powerful words.
