7 years between these photos. 7 years of highs and extreme lows. 7 years of finding out who I am and what I’m made of. 7 years of trials, tribulations and tears, so many tears.
And I’m still not done.
This has been 7 years in the making of falling in love with myself. Not overnight. I’ve had to pick myself up from the lowest lows and fight like hell to find happiness within myself. It’s not easy, it’s an everyday battle.
I’m so thankful for it all. Without this journey I’d not be the strong ass woman I am today. It’s okay to be proud of yourself. Applaud your accomplishments and the journey that led you there. Never settle, your breakthrough is right around the corner.
PS: seeing this comparison just makes me hungrier for more. It’s crazy when you become your own motivation. 😳🤤
The “in” thing to talk about today is the idea of “hacking.” There are no short cuts when it comes to health and nutrition. The issue is that fad diets give it to you easy. You lose the weight but what happens when you stop? You gain it back and you gain even more.
Easy comes, easy goes!
Yeah, it is possible to reach your goal and to be efficient, but there is NO such thing as short cuts.
Get this “hacking” out of your mind and start thinking “CONSISTENCY”. Work…keep working and be consistent with small changes in your routine/habits and your diet. Be consistent with going to the gym or whatever physical activity your doing. Even try being consistent with your sleep!
Be consistent with the changes you make and you will see results all year round!
BACK & DELTS!!
Probably two of my favorite body parts to train. I currently hit back and delts 3x per week. After a couple weeks I will shift focus and increase the frequency and volume of other areas. 🤙🏼
I really don’t have a desire to hit the “BIG 3” right now. I’ve been enjoying training with my wife @kat_dubs.bb testing out the new workouts we will be releasing on our new website due to drop in July! 👨🏻💻

Bench is feeling much better. .
Spent a lot of time trying to make my form repetitive. I noticed that my form would be variable from workout to workout. Whether it was my foot position, hand placement, touch spot, arch, etc... this variability and lack of consistency was causing me to stagnate in progress. .
If I’m not being consistent with technique then I’m not going to be able to properly perform and overload. .
Now I’m filming my warm up sets and tweaking my form before I go into my working sets. Trying to leave no stone unturned. .
I saw it fitting that my first post on this updated feed was my opinion on something very controversial in hip hop. Logic himself has caused a lot of debate and discussion in the hip hop community. Many consider him corny repetitive and trash. I agree with many arguments being made against him. But it’s weird how much someone can fall off. The young Sinatra mixtapes are in my opinion the greatest set of projects or like series released by a single rapper. This persona of young sinatra is outstanding and brings out the best out of logic. It forces him to have great lyricism and story telling. Logic is a very solid story teller but I feel like ever since everybody he’s been phoning it in. Ysiv is the weakest but is still great compared to his recent work. This raised the question. Should rappers be considered great over there greatest work or weakest? If nas never dropped illmatic, would he still be considered an elite rapper. Is Eminem a great rapper despite his work during this decade simply because of his old work. Logic is now in the lane of being a good rapper who wasted his potential. Regardless the young Sinatra series remains my favorite of all time, so relatable, relaxing and overall wonderful.

Do you have a routine? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Just something that you do, at a regular schedule, without fail. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Routines are a way of keeping promises to ourselves.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They give us the opportunity to show ourselves that we can show up, do what needs to be done, or do something for ourselves, and do it consistently. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They show us we can trust ourselves. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, if you don’t have one... scrap that, I bet you do! Figure out what it is and recognise yourself for keeping that promise to yourself! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You rock 🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
