Merry (almost) Christmas, old sports! Yes I’m aware that we haven’t even had Thanksgiving yet BUT if you’re anything like me, you’re probably already celebrating just a bit ;). With that being said, Christmas shopping is just around the corner & what better gift to give than books??
I’ve been looking forward to this for months & I’m so excited to be presenting my very own (brief) book review series, covering every book I’ve read in 2019. I’ll be starting on November 25, one month before Christmas, & posting 1-2 reviews each day for a 12 day span. After that point, there may be a few extra days with potentially even a contest :) so stay tuned for a fun-filled adventure! Jokes and fanart are expected and encouraged. Follow #bravingbooks19 if you want to stay updated on the adventure, I’ll be using it in each of my reviews.
*i will be going back to poetry after the Christmas season but it’s my own account who cares lol*
Also if I tagged you it’s because I thought you might be interesting in following along not because I’m trying to spam you I PROMISE.
A wee tree, a wee pup & the prettiest French doors ❤️I sent a few photos of antique dream doors I spotted in Europe to @simpsondoorco & they made those doors come true. I’m obsessed with them- and sharing more on my blog today-including a look back photo of what this area of our house looked like when we bought it. 🙈 Happy weekend all. #saturday#frenchdoors#doors#christmas#holiday#home#holidayhome
Ok first of all, CHILL. I haven’t decorated the tree. Ok? So just chill. But I mean I bought these for the little darling’s bedrooms and I’m sorry but I couldn’t resist the smiles and the glow so yes, we have a few trees up before Thanksgiving. Second of all, like whatever. Bye. #holidayseason#babybedroom#christmas#SAHM
@homealoneofficial was released on this day in 1990, so you better believe I’m camped out on my couch with #semihomemade cheese pizza and @talenti Coffee Chocolate Chip gelato and watching it! It’s a pretty solid Saturday night if you ask me!
What are your Saturday night plans?

@goldilockswraps founder Amy Hall volunteered with a shark conservation program in the South Pacific and was devastated by the ocean plastics problem globally. Scuba diving multiple times a week with magnificent creatures like sharks only deepened her love of the ocean and her desire to protect it.
As Amy began her own personal zero waste journey, she was inspired to start her own business making reusable beeswax food wraps. She was overwhelmed by the amount of plastic ending up in our waterways and decided to start working on one small, accessible step - plastic wrap. The average person uses over 2000 square feet of plastic every year alone.
Amy is an art historian, who carefully chooses the beautiful cotton fabrics, and an ocean lover, who was able to combine both her passions in Goldilocks Wraps. By creating wraps that are not only practical but aesthetically pleasing as well, Amy hopes that an eco-friendly lifestyle as a whole will appeal to a broader range of people, with her wraps as the catalyst.
Each reusable beeswax wrap is made individually by hand in small batches. From the washing and cutting of carefully chosen cotton, to waxing piece by piece, to folding and packaging, everything is done by the small Goldilocks team. Each wrap is held to the highest of quality standards and infused with an extra dose of love. Amy would like to see the need for single use household plastics eliminated and believes Goldilocks Wraps can help achieve this. In addition, her wraps will keep your food fresh for longer! Not only are they better for the environment, they are also better for your wallet by saving food.
We are happy to have Amy and Goldilocks back at Out of Hand. Pick up a set of beautiful beeswax wraps for you and everyone you know to help reduce single use plastic.
