"The hassle, the fighting, they all want a bite of me
Photos, more photos and gossip 'bout hoes that they don't know
Oh, they talk shit though
I don't want no lunchbox friends, no
I want someone who understands,
Come to my house, let's die together
Friendship that would last forever, no" 🎶
First things first ➡️ Food dEATs: my very FIRST impossible burger with some sweet potato fries and a tiny bit ketchup (not a big fan of ketchup but I wanted to do it the real American way haha). My boyfriend had a not so vegan burger for him with sweet potato fries and onion rings (I tried but they are not my thing). however, let me just tell you that my experience with this impossible burger was damn good (even though somewhat scary because it really looks and tastes like meat 😳)... but I do recommend it though 👌🏼
. One of the plans my boyfriend and I had for our trip to America was to have a chilled night in, in which we would order take out food and eat it whilst watching tv. In our heads this is a commonly American thing to do... and so it is! After a long day of walking around we ordered takeout food and delighted ourselves with them.
I think many of you know by now how I have struggled with eating all types of food due to my IBS issues. I used to label food as bad/unhealthy or good/healthy. I have come a long way.
Burgers and fries are certainly not my go to food but because they are somewhat triggering, I decided to have them per my boyfriend’s suggestion (a burger lover and an intuitive eater by nature). AND you know what? I felt like this meal really went to show the progress I have been making during the past 1.5 years. I was able to relax into the initial mental discomfort that the idea of having these foods gave me and I really enjoyed every single mouthful and moment shared with my partner. it was so liberating. ❣️ One of the best things that I have come to learn is that GREAT things happen - inside out - when we trust our bodies, focus on the present moment and let go of everything that serves us no good.
