My grilled cabbage tabbouleh made an appearance at the table again last night, accompanied with roasted whole fish and tomatoes. My first time in awhile getting down in the kitchen! 👏 You can find this recipe on the blog in the archives. It's got more cabbage than bulgar, and lots of herbs, pomegranate seeds, pistachios. Link in bio, friends!
— I was a sophomore in college when my life changed forever. I was required to take a photo class for my graphic design major and it was my first time using a DSLR camera. I had no idea what on Earth I was doing or knew it would eventually lead me to where I am today. I graduated college and started my career in the graphic design field and had no passion or drive for what I was doing. I became really depressed thinking this is it and I just need to suck it up, but it's a job. In August 2015, I decided enough was enough and I was going to try and create a photography business on my own. It wasn't an easy journey and at times I almost gave up, but I knew I loved photography and never let those struggles stop me from trying.
I'm excited to announce I'm officially speaking at the 2019 SUNY Oswego Media Summit!!! It's such an honor to even be considered and to return to the place my love for photography began means the absolute world to me💛💚 #sunyoswegoalumni
It may be another Monday morning, but our spirits and souls are alive with the feels of autumn after another weekend at Hudson Woods. Apples were picked, pies were baked, birds were watched, a ground hog was spotted scurrying behind a rock, and nature has revived us and prepared us for a week ahead.
A year ago today these two said I do. And it rained. The. Whole. Day. They never got the mountain-view sunset photos every couple dreams of, and one of the main reasons why couples choose @sierravistava as their venue. Well, yesterday we got to redo their portraits thanks to Marianne at Sierra Vista! @thearrangementcompany even made a bouquet for Caitlyn that matches her wedding day bouquet! I loved getting to give this sweet bride her dream wedding portraits a year later, and I love the incredible vendors I have the privilege of working with in the LYH area 💕

I was planning to post this a few days ago but then we got hit with a wild Indian Summer heatwave and I took it as a sign that I could use a few days for a little self reflection, meditation, rest, and outdoor time leading up to the Harvest Pisces Moon 🌝 this past Friday. Life always feels like it’s moving at light speed and these times I “press pause” help me stay grounded, grateful, focused, and happy. .
So if life is feeling a little too fast or just nonstop, take 5 minutes at the start, middle, and end of each day to pause, breathe, and reset. Headspace app, Breathe app, feel good Spotify playlists, a quiet walk in fresh air - these are just a few things that help me everyday. .
And since this morning is perfectly overcast and feels like Fall, I’m calling it Trench Coat season. I’ve rounded up my favorite ones on le blog now in the “Shop My IG” section, with a bunch at wallet friendly prices you can’t miss. Hop over and pick up this iconic piece for your Autumn lineup today. 🍂🍁
Teaching Maya about self-hygiene. Besides taking bubble baths with her favorite bath bombs, she loves brushing her teeth. Sometimes, I catch her in the bathroom trying to brush her teeth by herself. As much as I want her to it herself, she doesn’t brush well enough, yet. I usually help her for a minute and then I allow her to brush on her own.
