An old castle outpost built in into the side of a mountain.
First big build since 2015! Overall pretty pleased with how this one turned out, it was a ton of fun to build. I actually started this about a year ago and finished maybe 5% of it then stopped work until July this year, I started up again and am just now finishing it. Sadly school starts tomorrow so I’ll be super busy from now on. Expect maybe a small moc sometime within the next month or so.
I’ll post more detailed pics tomorrow. Let me know what you guys think of this.

“Musashi Miyamoto exterminated Osakabe fox “
It is a monster legend that comes to Himeji Castle.
In the early Edo period, there were a series of strange phenomena at Himeji Castle, and the castle owner Terumasa Ikeda was also ill.
It is said that Osakabe hime was living in the castle, meeting the castle owner once a year and changing the fate of the castle.
The master of swords, Musashi Miyamoto, went for being wary in the night of the castle, went up to the fifth level of the castle tower and spent until morning.
Then, a woman named Osakabe hime, the incarnation of Osakabe god, who called out by herself, appeared and gave a sword to Musashi.
However, the sword was actually stolen and was intended to drive Musashi out, added guiltily to him.
In fact, this woman's identity was a monster of a hundred years old fox.
It was says that Musashi succeeded in seeing the identity of Osakabe hime as fox monster and expelling her from Himeji Castle.
After this, Himeji Castle was built the Osakabe Shrine.
Well as I make my way back home the one thing (of many) that I have taken way the most through this trip through the 3 Baltic countries(Estonia, Latvia & Lithuania), Kaliningrad (Russia) and Belarus is the price people are way to pay for freedom. Sometimes that my generation has not really had to flight for as it was earned by incredibly brave people that came before us. All these countries went through a lot weather it was under the Nazis or under the USSR but after years of soul searching and rebuilding they all managed to make the most they could out of the situation and are now prospering countries to different degrees. They taught me to appreciate everything thing I as an American have in my life and most of all to take advantage of of the opportunities that are available to me because some people have to scratch and claw to get them so definitely make the most of it and enjoy and always improve your freedom because while it’s a very complex subject, the alternative came be daunting.
