To all men, women and children who wear hats, caps, beanies, head-wraps, headbands, scrunchies, etc.
It is crucial to regularly and frequently clean and sanitize ALL headwear, especially during the hotter months. Neglecting to care for headwear is incredibly toxic for scalp & hair, leading to scalp aggravations, hair loss, oiliness, and dull and limp hair.
When the scalp perspires, it release toxins and fluids from the pores, which become lodged in dead skin, microbes, chemical buildup and sebum already on the scalp. All of these elements then are transferred to one’s headwear. The headwear morphs into a petri dish for all of these toxic, cell-destroying elements that exacerbate free radical stress, inflammation and microbial growth. Even after the headwear comes off, the incubation continues and putting it back on without first cleaning, perpetuates the culprits behind many scalp & hair problems.
In addition to regularly exfoliating, cleansing and eliminating microbials from the scalp & hair with our deep exfoliating, cleansing and revitalizing botanical mask, we highly advise washing all headwear. If you wouldn’t rewear dirty socks or undergarments, do the same for headwear.
