Are we able to celebrate it today? Nope. He is a Chef so "weekends" and "nights" together don't exist.
Kai didn't sleep a wink last night...ok thats exaggerating. He slept about a total of 2 hours. So that means I am home, by myself all day with both kids.
Does it suck? Yes. Is my Trimosa and chocolate making it a little bit better? Um, YES.
And is this EXACTLY why I love what my "job" allows me to do? HELL YES!
Because of my "job" I am able to stay home (even though some days I would kill for an office job just to get a break), raise my boys and still build the life of our dreams where my hubby doesnt have to work 5-6 days a week and 12+ hours a day.

This is the best thing I’ve ever read when it comes to self care.
I remember so clearly sitting in a training session back in university in 2017 for student leaders in the faculty of arts.
It was mid winter in February and I was in the midst of one of the lowest lows.
Back in the dark depth of the journey that led me to my personal growth battle and becoming a mindset coach - back in the pit of the struggle of it all.
And I was sitting there - feeling alone in a room full of students - not letting anyone know how much I was struggling inside.
I remember sitting in class earlier that day thinking about how it would all end and what it would be like to completely disappear.
I had pulled myself together enough to sit in that training.
And there I was - with someone standing in the front of the room, telling me to “take a walk in nature” and “take a bubble bath” and “talk to a friend”.
Shrinking into my seat and holding back tears silently.
And I remember excusing myself early and crying silently on my walk back to my dorm - thinking something was clearly wrong with me because no walk in nature was fixing this.
And shit - if someone had actually taught me the root causes of where it all comes from, the deep beliefs and patterns at the root of my insecurity and lack of self worth, why I constantly strived for achievement to hide my inner pain - if someone was just real with me instead of continuing to tell me to #BellLetsTalk and eat some cake - I could have saved myself a lot sooner.
That’s why I’ll continue speaking out so loudly about the root causes of mindset challenges and blocks and all of the subconscious work.
If you have a journey of your own I highly encourage you to share it - because the institutionalized mental health space sure isn’t sharing the full story.
And if you’re out there feeling alone today because the mental health space has failed you - I see you. You’re supported and loved, and there are so many options for you to heal. It’s not a one size fits all. I’m here for you. ❤️

I used to hate all my faults and flaws but I realize that by hating them or just putting them to the back I was not growing within myself I was not realizing the areas I need to develop so I could become more successful not just as a person but as a leader.
Trust me I still have so much to learn but I’m loving and learning from my flaws on the way and see where I can improve and become more as a person, coach, leader, mom, sister, and everything else in between. .

Wow... the Training today Herbalife put on was simply the best! So much energy, encouragement, and growth happened. The gym isn’t the issue, their Work Ethic is. I encourage you to not look for excuses as to why you’re not Winning at the level you can be. It's easy to get discouraged. 👏 Imposter syndrome is real. 👏 The comparison game is real. 👏 Overwhelm and burn out are very real.
When your goals aren't happening on your timetable...when your clients send contacts but no payment... when a potential client ghosts you... when you're expected to do more work for less... It's so easy. TOO EASY.
Perseverance takes courage.
Entrepreneurship takes diligence.
You have to commit to caring for yourself alongside building your business. You have to do the mind work. 🧠 You have to flex your mindset muscle.
As my girl @tonyarineer says, whether you know it or not, you're manifesting. Your actions are either creating positive results for yourself or negative results. To get to level 10, you have to do the work.
So today, as I'm coming out of my own discouragement, overwhelm and mom-haustion (mom exhaustion) of the newborn phase, I want to remind you to flex your 🤯 mindset muscle.
Because honestly, if I didn't do the mind work, I definitely wouldn't be where I am today, aligned with my clients, who were the awesomest when my little guy was born. 👶 (of course they continue to be awesome)
So please, don't get discouraged. Keep going!

You see it all the time in gyms across the world. Trainers looking the same, year in year out... I often wonder how they stay motivated to train when they never see progress 🤔
Fact of the matter is they are making fundamental mistakes wasting time and energy achieving nothing... Do you make these mistakes? ✅ Not putting in the effort. I harp on about this constantly but you need to push hard.. Increase reps and or weight week in week out, coasting through sessions achieves nothing. ✅Not enough work done. To compliment the effort you need enough volume in there to force change. Equally some do too much and the body never recovers enough to change.. You need the correct volume for you. ✅No plan. Without a plan you drift, achieving nothing.. To get where you want to be you have to have a plan set to get there. ✅Nothing is tracked. To compliment the above, training and diet need tracking to see where you were, where you are and where you are headed. ✅Poor diet. The diet needs to match up with the goals set, if not the body won't change.. Plan it... Track it... Stick to it and adapt when it needs to be. ✅Poor exercise form. The amount of half squats and bounced bench presses I see make me weep. Use correct form and target the muscle you are working correctly, feel it work, earn your poundage and rep increases, keep form tight and avoid injuries. ✅Inconsistency. Training for 8 weeks then taking 4 off. Sticking with the diet for a week then eating crap... All pitfalls that harm your progress. Set your goals, set your plans and stick with it.
Some food for thought... Don't be that lifter who never changes, never gets stronger, never improves.

It's a reality of life that people like to bring others down. It's an easy way for us and others to (short-term) feel better about the things we're unhappy with in our lives. The problem with tearing others down is it doesn't fix the problems that are hurting us, *AND* it hurts or brings others down in the process.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It can be really hard to do this - how often have we seen or even been in situations when someone is saying awful things and everyone else is silent, uncomfortable, and even ashamed?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It happens, but trying to speak up and shut down hurtful conversations is an important step to not buying into toxicity, and working to live your values.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here are 6 steps to shut down negative and undermining conversations:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Don't take it personally.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(this isn't about you, it's about them. They probably aren't really seeing or thinking about you, even if it seems otherwise)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Pause, and take a breath.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(Don't knee-jerk respond. Take a sec)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Take the high road and *don't* lash out.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(If you get petty too, you'll undermine yourself. You can be emotional, strong, thoughtful, etc., but don't be mean)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. State your view. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(Get it out)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5. If they continue, ask them to stop.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(Set boundaries and enforce them. If they won't stop, leave so they know you are serious)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
6. Work to feel compassion for them.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(They are dealing with their own shit poorly, but there is shit to be dealt with. Have compassion, even as you set expectations)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

STOP THE NEGATIVITY TRAIN 🚂
When was the last time you were able to catch yourself going into a negative spiral of thoughts and emotions? I had one yesterday (and this morning). I caught myself over thinking, getting into some negative beliefs and fears and had to STOP and come back to the moment.
My name is Tricia and I suffer from: OVER WORRYING, OVER THINKING, and FIXING PROBLEMS THAT HAVEN’T APPEARED YET.
It’s taken me years to be able to notice when I go into a spiral, stop, pause, and let go.
It’s easy to think of the 1,000,001 different ways things can go wrong. As humans were wired this way from hundreds of thousands of years of programming.
It needs to stop. It’s detrimental to how we show up and our head space.
Next time you start doing any of the above just pause and ask yourself if it’s worth your time and energy to be thinking about something that might not happen.
THEN, LET IT GO. It takes practice, it takes discipline, but i’d rather choose thoughts that bring me higher not take me down.
Resilience with your mindset is one of your most powerful tools.
