Feel like Asian, why not Dragonfly?
If you’re looking for casual but well-presented Asian fusion food in a cozy, dim lit ambience, Dragonfly has it all. We started off our dinner with the pork bao bun, chicken and ginger dumpling, then headed to the main with prawn and pork noodles, turmeric free range chicken and lemongrass chicken salad. 1. Pork bao bun: not really impressive, pork belly was not really juicy, even a bit dry, adding more sauce would be much better.
2.Lemongrass chicken salad: interesting combination with coconut milk-based dressing. However, it was so creamy, fatty and a bit overwhelming the more you reach the end.
3. Turmeric free range chicken: This one has stolen all the spotlight as chicken was well-marinated and super tender. Nice presentation with amazing mix with coconut.
4. Pork and prawn noodles : A bit dry, need more sauce, the pork skin still can be crispy on serving.
5. Dumpling: Interesting shape but filling was a bit salty, quite similar to Chinese dumplings. #asian#asianrestaurant#asianfuison#chicken#lemongrass#coconut#salad#dumpling#baobun#restaurant#kitchen#wellington#newzealand#dragonfly

When @bao_london opened its pocket-size restaurant in Soho, it created the sort of queue you’d associate with Alton Towers. Four years on, and with lines still snaking round the corner of Lexington Street – wind and rain means nothing to these oriental milk bun addicts - BAO did the sensible thing and opened up another spot in Fitzrovia. Delicious Bao Alert 🚨
Mr. Bao has recently opened up in Makers Dozen and they are so tasty! I ordered the Pork Crackling Bao and the Korean Beef Bao and they were both so good 🤤
The pork crackling was definitely my favourite. There was a piece of crunchy pork crackling and also a tender slice of pork cooked perfectly with many traditional flavours which made it so tasty 😋 I loved the crunch of the crackling and how soft the bao is. This is definitely my favourite.
The Korean Beef was also great. The beef tasted just like bulgogi beef and there was also kimchi to give it that authentic kick 🌶 It is a great fusion and I definitely enjoyed this one 😊
Mr Bao also has so many more delicious things to order like BBQ pork buns and all sorts of bao (including dessert) 😊 Try them out! 📍Mr Bao, Haymarket
