Sometimes your ideal physique challenges your belief with regards to what the scales ⚖️ say. - Whenever we talk to new clients about their goals, the conversation always revolves around the number on the scales. ⚖️✏️ - “I want to get down to x amount of weight.”...”I want to lose x amount of weight on the scales”. - Scale weight doesn’t take muscle mass & “toning” into account- it simply tracks your total weight, & if toning & building lean muscle mass is your goal, sometimes the scale weight focus is counterintuitive to your approach. 👇 - ✅Eating wholesome food with a protein focus, as well as focusing on performing resistance training that supports your postural ailments & weaker body parts, is the best approach. ✅ - Doing excessive cardio & under eating will not build the physique you desire- even if it means the scale weight is dropping. - Taking specific notice of the way your clothes fit, how you feel, how your digestion works, your performance & progress photos is a better way to determine & track your progress as opposed to simply tracking your scale weight. 🧐 - This is extremely relevant for females- our weight is impacted by which stage of our cycle we are in, as well as a number of other factors that can increase or decrease the scale weight number. - Ultimately, if you’re eating enough protein, weight training 4-5 times a week, being consistent with your approach & focusing on building your physique rather than depleting it, The changes you experience will be amazing. - 🍎It’s normal to need someone to facilitate these changes, keep you accountable & provide you with education on your training & nutrition approach. 🍎 - It can be daunting & at times intimidating embarking on this journey alone- that’s normal & any change feels uncomfortable in the beginning. - Have a think about your life as it currently is. 🧘🏻‍♀️🧘🏽‍♂️ - Are you feeling stuck & sluggish- almost unable to bear the way your health is at the moment? ✨✨✨🦋 Working on my physical body has been a challenge this last month. I struggle with depression, anxiety, ADD & BPD. I also was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia. And my pain level this month has been insane. I am not telling you this because I want to be a victim. I don’t feel that way. I have this theory that Source or GOD or whatever you believe in. Would not give us any burdens we can not handle. Staying active and meditation have been my life line. This is why I am such a strong advocate for this new purpose I have been presented with! I am posting this pic I took of me this morning. I’m always hiding my belly. I’m ashamed of my stretch marks. And I know I shouldn’t. These are my beauty marks that Source has blessed me with. As I at one point carried life inside my womb. That is something to rejoice, not feel ashamed of! But we are so saturated with these perfect body images on TV and internet that we start to doubt ourselves and feel ashamed of our own reflection. I suffered from eating disorders at a young age because of this. So this is the real me! I’m not hiding my belly anymore! And I’ll be posting more pics as I go thru my #21dayfixchallenge I will be doing this with a group of awesome women all with the same purpose! I feel so blessed to be a part of this! 💭 Where are your teachers coming from, and what’s their intention? Teachers point us in a direction. The first general direction I was taught was “hustle”. Work till you drop. And then work some more. Back then I thought it was the only direction worth looking in, because I was looking for my own worth. And so it looked like "the more, the better”, an idea I chased for well over a decade. The more time you spend in a certain mindset, with people reinforcing the same story, chances are the more real it’s going to look. Many of us will have the same kind of experiences over and over until we explore what else might be true. A good place to start is to look at who you’re learning from. . 💭 A big turning point for me was when I started seeking out teachers. Teachers who taught compassion, connection, and soulful enquiry. Teachers who asked who I was behind my fear. Teachers who showed me that my fear wasn’t actually real. Teachers who pointed to a truth so beautiful I could barely look at it at first. . 💭 We can learn serious thing through love. We can learn tough things through love. We can learn really discombobulating things through love. Find the teachers who point in that direction; those who will guide you to heart and to your own wisdom, which is really the greatest teacher of all ❤️
