The way we believe we can destroy the planet is a testament to the strength of our own delusion of grandeur. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We could never destroy this planet she would throw up her waters, shake up her core, throw down some electromagnetic energy and wipe us out in a New York minute. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Regardless of this fact, it is still imperative that we respect her and look after her like she has always and will always look after us. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There has been a rise in the collective consciousness of humanity which means that we have become more spiritually attuned to the planet, this is a wonderful thing but is quickly tarnished by consumerism and mass production for the self-gratification and glamourisation of natural minerals like crystals, salt lamps, smudges, charcoal, teacher plants etc.
We must continue to be aware of our own impact on the planet, not just for social media but in everything we do. Regardless of whether you are a "tree hugger" or not, this is our home and the only one we have. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Everything is everything, all of the issues we face in the world begins with the relationship we have with the planet. Wake Up. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Done with my #summer2019 posts. Haha back to regular programming tomorrow! 💦💦
We don’t need to survive in motherhood - we need to thrive in it! It takes work - a whole lot of work - but it is worth it. As Mamas, our lives are constantly busy, messy, hectic, sleep deprived. Our strength is tested in every way, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Often we are focused on meeting the needs of others because we are wired to be caregivers. We seem to have formed the idea that we don’t deserve to take care of ourselves until everyone else is happy. It takes its toll, not just on us but on relationships with friends, family, our partner and our kids.
It's so easy to get lost in the juggle, the routines and the to do lists but know that it is essential – not selfish – to fill our own cup first in order to be more whole and better able to love, support, and care for those around us. The only way to thrive is to make sure our own cup is full before we fill everyone else.
Once you decide that you deserve the same level of care that you spend making sure everyone else has, amazing things will happen. You’ll become a completely different person. You’ll smile more, you’ll laugh and thrive more in the things you do with your kids rather than snapping at them, you’ll realise how important your happiness is and you’ll become the best version of yourself. You ARE IMPORTANT. Treat yourself, be caring and allow yourself a break when you need it.

During #fashionrevolutionweek I will be taking part in #makersforfashrev. Day one’s prompt is “I made my Clothes.”
Everything in my shop is designed in my attic sewing room and made on my two small machines. I stitch the labels on by hand. I have been sewing and making for as long as I can remember. My mum taught me how to follow a pattern when I was a teenager and I took a course in pattern cutting more recently which gave me the confidence to design and cut my own.
And why do I make them? After uni I got a job at @ukgap (an American Studies degree doesn’t scream at a certain career). After a couple of months of folding jumpers and jeans I suddenly wondered who had made these jumpers and jeans and what their lives were like. I’d love to say that I quit purely on ethical grounds, but it was also the mind-numbing job. Since then I have shopped mostly in charity shops before getting enough skills to make my own. Thank you @fash_rev for making it easy to ask #whomademyclothes x
Before you go to bed, here’s a friendly reminder - You were made on purpose and for a purpose by a God who loves you, thinks about you, and hasn’t left you now. “You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!”
Happy Bank Holiday Monday! New sparkly post is up featuring the @milkmakeup Kush Stash Bag from @cultbeauty I also sneaked in the Milk Makeup Lip and Cheek in ‘werk’ as I have had my eye on this since the brand launched here in the UK.
Is there anything cuter than two little bunnies on an Easter egg filled picnic! We had such a lovely time meeting up with gorgeous Emilia-Rose and her mama @dalgleish_tribe and having fun in the sunshine! 🐰☀️🐰
