C H A R L I E 👩🏼
Mother, Fiancé, Pilates Instructor, Hippy at heart ✌🏼 I ❤️ what I do & feel so passionately about helping others to heal. I truly believe that #PILATES can change your life.
Whatever your age, size, ability or gender pilates can be adapted to suit your needs. Helping you to gain #strength#balance#coordination#flexibility#developastrongcore & to generally have a better sense of #wellbeing 🙌🏼 The creator J O S E P H P I L A T E S famously said... “IF YOUR SPINE IS INFLEXIBLY STIFF AT 30, YOU ARE OLD; IF IT IS COMPLETELY FLEXIBLE AT 60, YOU ARE YOUNG”
Confirming the term, You are only as old as you feel. And who doesn’t want to DAILY wake up feeling supple & youthful 🤗
So please... I invite you to join me at any of my weekly #pilates classes for a fun, purposeful work out with a little bit of relaxation at the end to help you absorb the practice mindfully.
My full timetable is on my previous post.
I’m excited to teach you all 😝

Teaching our Junior #athletes the forgotten art of pacing during aerobic exercise. I created a new protocol that is working well for aerobic capacity training in juniors, that also incorporates changes of direction, which we know are big components in a lot of VO2 Max tests.
Although I don’t prescribe maximal aerobic speeds in my juniors, it is interesting to look at the distance covered, with different timed sets and variations in how you complete the structured running session. I find the kids pace better when I have the changes of direction initially, than just running laps for time.
Still a work in progress, but with the new age technology taking over, I am keen to continue to introduce structured running sessions to our younger athletes to combat the loss of general outside play, sports and exercise, that was more common 15 years ago.

"Aren’t I more likely to succeed if I take a break, just until I have the time to do it right?"
No, you're not. Trying to "do it right" is the reason you are not succeeding. It's seductive to believe that there's the right time to pursue a goal. After the baby, after the wedding, after mum's recovered, after I've rehabbed this injury...after, after, after.
Then we turn around one day, and our after has been pushed back for years. The intention's still there - but action has been lacking. And your health has paid the price for it.
The fact is, it's never going to be perfect. These life stressors never stop coming, and you have to forge the skills to keep on pursuing your goals in whatever way you can, with what you can. Achieving change whilst weathering hard times makes the easier times that much sweeter, and your habits all the more resilient.
Starting afresh in the future is a really comforting thought - but it's a total cop out. Life is going to keep coming at you, and there will always be very convincing reasons to stop trying.
If you do pause something, pause your "all or nothing" mindset. Pursue an "always something" mindset instead. Don't eat the bag if you cave and have a biscuit. Walk if you don't feel like running. Look for miniscule improvements if small is too much.
But don't stop completely.

When you watch one to many @hookgripchn videos 😂 on a serious note these feel alright on my shoulder so I adjusted with squat jerk for the night.
The greatest power required in the spirit realm.. Is the power of faith!
Faith is a force that attracts the forces of the spirit realm to your aid. It is the currency of every spiritual transaction..
Faith is so much more than the declarations you make. It is a life you live. It is life lived in the face of uncertainty — what cannot be controlled. Saint Paul put it like this: “Faith is being certain of things you cannot see” (Hebrews 11:1)
Deload workout on bench press with my bro @boosted_fk ! 😁 Top set was 20 reps with 225. 💪 I'll take it since I was sore as hell from yesterday's workout! 😫
Repost from @thedailypretty ✨ We hope you had an amazing Easter weekend, it’s time to start a new busy week! It surprises us daily how many amazing women we get to meet through the Hope Foundation, especially the Hope Chicks themselves. Tag a woman who inspires you 🥰💕
Killed it yesterday with bench press! 💪Issue with my arms were minor the whole time so I was actually able to enjoy myself and have a good press workout. 😁 Did 2 sets of 10 135, set of 5 185, set of 5 225, set of 5 275, set of 5 315, 3 sets of 2 335 (last set shown), set of 4 315 pause reps (failed the last rep), and a set of 20 225. ☺ Then did a set of 10 60s, set of 10 80s, and 3 sets of 12 100s. After almost 3 hours of training chest, upper back, and arms I then did another bench press workout with my bro @boosted_fk . 😳 Kept it light and mild though but then did 2 sets of 10 135 pause reps, set of 10 185 pause reps, 2 sets of 10 225 pause reps, set of 7 225 pause reps, set of 10 225 slingshot pause reps, and a set of 20 135 close grip bench press. So much bench press has me really sore on my chest, shoulders, and triceps pretty bad. 😖 Was just happy to lift some weight today pain free. 🙏
