🤝 So. You want to do your part in the fight against plastic pollution and reduce your waste, and you started with the plastic straw. FAN 👏 TAS 👏 TIC 👏 Now... don't stop! 🥤 Straws make up about 4 percent of the plastic trash by piece, but far less by weight (since they only weigh about one sixty-seventh of an ounce or 0.42 grams). 😕 And let’s remember that there’s a lot, like billions of a lot, of plastic waste by weight in our oceans. 🙌 So what better way to continue on your journey of reducing plastic waste than with getting a reusable water bottle? ❓Or do you have one already? 🍼 If you're looking for a bottle that is compatible with your FinalStraw, pictured here is a 16oz Clear Tumbler by @Tervis with the Straw Lid. 🤷♀️ Not sponsored but like, hey, hit us up if you want to collab. 😉 Remember, a reusable bottle doesn’t have to be just for the drinks you bring from home. 🥛 Bring it to a cafe or restaurant and ask if, rather than using their single-use cup, you could fill up with your reusable cup!
💁♀️ Here’s our boatload (get it) of hashtags so people can find our mission and know that they don’t have to #StopSucking, they can #SuckResponsibly! 🎉 You can #BreakFreeFromPlastic with the Original #Reusable Collapsible #Straw, the #FinalStraw!! 🙌 Whether you’re going #PlasticFree or just doing your part against #PlasticPollution 💪 you can suck your #Starbucks#IcedCoffee, #Kombucha, #Smoothie, or whatever your #drink of choice is 🍹 and do your part in the #WarOnWaste because it’s #TimeForChange, it’s our #PlanetOrPlastic, and let’s face it, #PlasticSucks! 🤢 Our #StrawsSuck… literally! And very well might we add. 😉 Whether you’re #Vegetarian, #Vegan, and/or a #Mermaid 🧜♀️ FinalStraw is the only #ReusableStraw you’ll need to #SaveTheTurtles 🐢, #SaveOurOceans 🌊 and #SaveTheWorld!!! 🌎 #Tervis#LessWaste#PlasticBottles#LessPlasticWaste#ReducePlastic
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for donating to my birthday fundraiser. 💚 It means the world and I’m so happy we were able to raise $1500 towards @oceanwise, you guys absolutely crushed it! I’ll keep the fundraiser opened until the end of this weekend (link in bio). Thank you, thank you, thank you for making my 28th birthday one of the best. In return, I’ve agreed to cut 12-inches of my hair and donate it to @angelhair4kids to contribute to kids in need! On that note, I’m ecstatic to announce that the talented @gianpaolohair will be cutting my locks within the next few weeks and hope you are all looking forward to seeing what he does!
I’ll be recording the whole process, so stay tuned! Get ready for the short hair and say goodbye to 12 inches...!!💚🌎 #NervousAndExcited
Instead of buying over packaged plastic scourers that can't be recycled and are continuously relasing micro-plastic particles throughout their lifecycle you should buy this totally biodagradable bamboo scourer🎋♻️
You can find them at your local zero waste stores or online💚
We are proud to have taken on the name Ban The Bag, thanks to the @surfrider foundation!
For those of you who don’t know, the Vancouver Island branch ( @surfridervi ) started the Ban The Bag campaign, which was very successful in getting the Victoria government to ban plastic bags from their city. They inspired us, and it is our goal for our campaign to do the same for Delta.

in no way are we trying to offend anyone on this account please spread love and positive vibes 🌱🌱🌱
Thinking about doing something super special for next months give-away! You all can thank my mom for this one 😉. Instead of just ONE prize... I'm thinkiiiiiing of doing like an Easter basket full of awesome reusable products. Now... this is not for sure. I've got to look at the budget because, as I mentioned in my first post, I am using my own money for this. And I can promise you... I would much rather buy a new outfit or swimsuit then hook y'all up. HOWEVER... I did not resolve to look fly this year, but rather spread awareness and inspire others to use less plastic (specifically, one-time-use disposable products). So stay tuned. You'll know if I decide against the Easter basket BECAUSE I WILL BE LOOKING SO FRESH. 😎
Also... smoothies today.

Did you know that about 90% of marine animals have eaten plastic? Did you know that the World Economic Forum predicts that by the year 2050 there will be more pieces of plastic than fish in the oceans? Did you know that more than 500 million straws are thrown away each day in the U.S. alone?
The restaurant and distillery at Social Still is committed to make a difference to the environment. We have decided that we do not offer plastic straws in any of our drinks. We have created a compostable stirrer that is made from renewable bamboo to reduce the footprint our business creates. We are also committed to providing re-useable or compostable bags for all of our sales. These small steps could be just the change the planet needs to begin to heal. #wedontsuck is our commitment to removing 45,000 straws a year from our oceans landfills, and waterways. A plastic straw never breaks down and will remain on this earth forever. Please commit with us to a bright future and a cleaner planet and request "no straw please".
NEW! Reusable Stainless Steel Straw Sets from Shell Creek Sellers are in the shop and just $14.00 each. Each comes with three straws, a cleaner and a cute bag to tote them around. These are such a great gift for just about anyone. Get on board with this eco-friendly trend and eliminate plastic straws from your life.
