Friendship goes beyond distance and time.
Back in 2016 Dóri adopted me for months in Budapest and showed me her beautiful city through a local view. Almost 3 years later I had the privilege to host her, at least for few days and show her a slice of Chiapas.
Köszönöm for coming and accepting an express and exhausting trip.
Love you @unamexihungara
Meet Paulina @sacubel textile. Paulina is an expert in plant-based dyeing, giving workshops and sharing her knowledge in San Cristobal, Mexico City, and many other cities. Today Reider and I had the privilege of taking Paulina's workshop, and it's something we won't forget. Over a four hour period, we learned about and dyed with several indigenous Mexican plants, Brazil wood, beans, mint, oregano, cochineal, walnuts, dandelion, turmeric, and more. Some we've dyed with; most not, and we dyed wool and linen. We learned about PH balance and alkaline levels. We ended up with 18 dye samples to bring home and a wealth of notes to use for future projects. Wow Paulina! I'm so grateful to have met you. #urbanyarnworks@sacubel#sacubel#chiapas#chiapasmexico#Sancristobaldelascasas#sancrisobaldelascasaswool#plantbaseddye#mexicodyer#dyersofinstagram
