DAY 211: Uncle Dave left today 😢... we are so grateful for the time we got to spend together❤️❤️❤️ #uncledaveisawesome .
We left Cambridge and headed towards Rotorua. It’s a major tourist destination and we were on the hunt for Skyline Rotorua. They have all sorts of activities, and I’m sure they’re all fun, but we only had eyes for the Luge. There are 3 tracks: scenic, intermediate and advanced. We each got 5 rides down any track. It was hilarious. I don’t think I stopped laughing the whole time. Tommy derailed on his first run and Greg derailed on his last. The rest of us managed to keep our carts on the track the whole time. If you’re ever in Rotorua, this is so worth it. After Rotorua, we headed to Taupo. Lake Taupo is the largest lake in New Zealand and we plan to relax and hang out here for a few days. #swipeleft .
Pic 1: RotoVegas. Didn’t really see the comparison between Vegas and Rotorua, but you know I never past up a touristy photo op! #skylinerotorua#rotovegas .
Pic 2: Giant Jelly Belly? Of course we need a picture! #jellybelly#willisthejellybelly

Pic 4: Luge Chairlift...slower than Chair 25 on Mammoth! This place could really use some high-speed quads!! .

Pic 10: Greg getting in his workout with a nice view. #teamwakeham6
Did you know that Redwood bark can be 30-60 cm thick? The bark is soft and fibrous and touching the bark can cause damage to the tree 😭 Be a treehugger, but just from the ❤️ when visiting these gentle giants! #sequoia
